If rockets'll lose a game against team, that could be bitten by all-clutchfans team (if all-clutchfans team'll have a trainin' camp with Adelman) - it will be a very hard hit. KO possible

I'd like to move battier or jeffries or do a 2 for 1 to open up a spot for JT and Dampier.

The voice of reason in this thread is very refreshing. We haven't had this kind of discussion since the start of the season. It is such a joy to read most of the posts. No sarcasm here.

If they could move Pinoyrocket out of this forum that would be great. Just slapping your bum.

    As for the poll: No.

If we trade for McGrady before the trade deadline, we can possibly go on another 22 game winning streak and turn our season around.

Any move now would basically be selling low. You don't sell low. The Rockets have nowhere to go but up. If there's a trade available that makes sense later in the season, when the team is playing better and our players have more value, then okay.

Making a move right now would be stupid.

No move is going to help the Rockets unless they play defense, and I doubt any one move is going to help them unless it's a stud defensive post presence. This team has no defensive guts. We are the mediocrity that were past Suns and Golden State Warriors teams. Some fans will be ecstatic we're putting up a bunch of points, but then finally realize that gets old when no W's are being produced. The other issue we have is that we have a bunch of players that play one-way. By that I mean, they're equally as bad defensively as they are good offensively most of the time. Then we have players that may be good defensively, but are suspect offensively.

We better find defense soon or this season is going to be a long and ugly one. At least we have some weaker (or at least what we think is weaker) competition coming up.

Anybody want to try the lottery again?

It's already time to be thinking about a move. On the other hand, we could go 0-82 and it would still not be time to make a move just to make a move. It has to be a good move with a logical motivation.

Assuming someone finds a magic "roll back the mileage" wand and waves it at McGrady, then the next move would be to look at the schedule. My strong suspicion is that there's not another stretch of 20 games vs Lottery bound teams and 2 that are the equivalent of LeBron's Cavs decimated by injury and him going 1 on 5 for 48 minutes.

Addressing the OP, this is the mirror image of the perfect storm that was Streak 22. They just need time to recover from Scola expending energy at the World's, and integrating some team D into a rotation that has new components (Yao, Miller, Martin and Lee).

The suprisingly fast start they had last season was driven in large part to a Team D that was basically what they ended the prior season with.

I'm voting "no" for now. But if there's a deal out there for Battier....

Please, make more of the same threads every game we lose. You're analysis is amazing.

    Of course we should

    Every team needs an upgrade

If we lose this one we'll be the laughing stock of the entire NBA

Morey should simply ask Kahn whatever he wants for Rubio and just give it to him.

With the uncertainty surrounding Brooks and Lowry I don't think the Rockets can risk a Ish/Lee point tandem with the record and start they have.

I think they need to bring in a short term vet to play PG.

Jeffries + Taylor for Jamal Crawford (expiring) or Dunleavy (expiring) or Hinrich (1yr left) or Prince (expiring).

Dunleavy's a terrible one on one defender players will go by him but he's helped by being 6-9 defending PGs which does sometimes and that he's good as a team defender... He might fit this team on D with all the charges he draws.
