    Honestly is depends.

If you can't get Howard or create a package for another star level player (if we trade for Gasol Morey is just grasping and that will be a bad move that handicaps us for years cap-wise), I'd say keep them. Since at least we are sure to trade one or two of our picks, plus Lowry and maybe Martin, I expect us to get a higher pick and I'd say keep that and try to build from the draft.

The reason why teams like SA, Denver and Utah passed us, despite rarely having higher picks then we did aside from talent brought in via trades was because they actually used and developed their younger talent. Houston, has gotten the point, where whatever good talent we develop gets traded or never gets developed.

A superstar like Howard comes along in the draft once every five to ten years. Anthony Davis is the safest pick to become a superstar in this years draft and we have no chance of landing him. Even though he might not stay, it is probably the right move to trade our picks for Howard.

If you're tired of this stagnancy, you are going to be pissed when Dwight leaves. Cause that could possibly be a decade of stagnancy.

If we just escape this draft with Andre Drummond when the dust settles, i would be satisfied.

I think he means stagnancy due to the fact that we've been static, picking the 14th for...three straight years now?

    Howard stays? We're good.

Howard leaves? We're bad, but have high draft picks.

No more role players. It's time to gamble on a star if possible. Too many alfreds and robins on this squad. We need a batman badly. Gamble on getting dwight or even bynum. However, gasol is not the answer.

Happy to give you your first rep for this post. Especially the bolded parts.

We have to stop trying to overhaul the team every year. Get some young players here, PLAY THEM and reap the benefits 3 years from now.

Trade for josh smith and Rudy gay! Sign Eric Gordon in free agency! Get the fifth pick and draft Andre drummond, use the 18th pick to draft Kendal Marshall and BOOM..

I wouldn't be that bummed if we couldn't trade for Howard, and turned a couple of top 10 picks into a C and SG. If we start at the bottom, no where to go but up.

Either you go all in and trade for a star/star players. Or we should completely rebuild with our draft picks (which we might do). Either way we have options, hopefully something interesting happens though. Freakin Thursday is way too far away..

The Rockets should continue trying to get two more high lottery picks. Draft two potential star types(Beal, Lillard, Drummond, Robinson)then use two lower 1st rounders for their help(Melo, Taylo, Harkless, Ross, White).
