So you would agree that if Lin was playing then he should play 48 and Bev should backup Harden.

    Lin is a better defender
He put up a defensive rating of 96 last year, one of the best in the league

Lin plays with harden all game. If you had played attention ( or looked at the play by play ) you would notice that Beverly had all of his assists when harden was off the floor, and none while playing with him. Its not complicated, harden is a ball dominant guard. The fact that he averages better than 6 a game is surprising. Expecting more is like expecting Mario chalmers to average more than 3.5 a game.

The problem with McFail going along with this type of game, similiar to Miami wiht James dominating the ball, is that Harden is no James. Comparing Harden to James is even further than comparing Lin to Harden, in terms of talent. I think that's why the Rocket has loss a lot of games during closing minutes when the team goes iso with Harden.

The video analysis seemed to speak more about crunch time heroes who have to step up to win close games or prevent the team from losing close games when they are up. This speaks to Harden's role more than Lin. Harden is our elite scorer and should have the ball in his hands in crunch time. The PG position in this case falls on Harden until Lin can prove he's reliable in crunch time.

Jeremy Lin had the 2nd highest 4th quarter PER in the entire league last year

    The kid is clutch

It's another situation of bias ruling over facts

Lin's defense is also good. It's hard to convince someone who coaches using confirmation bias

Patrick Beverly IS a rookie. Not to mention Lin had the 2nd highest PER in the 4th quarter last season behind only CP3. Fail for McHail not to utilize JLin's abilities and develop his potential for clutchness in the final period. That also limits the Rockets' option in the closing minutes to the Beard, which would give the opposing teams an easier time to do D.

Remember what happened in the last few minutes against the Thunder when we stormed back from 14 down?

Well, that's either a cleverly disguised knock on McHale or you are stuck in the past. He had a small window of success last year with the Knicks, but that does not mean one iota of difference to this season and how Lin has performed in crunch time this season.

He's been good this year too when given the chance

Someone posted stats of wins and losses when Lin plays or doesn't at the end of games

Lin clearly helps the team win

His nerd GM loves facts but his coaching staff uses subjective bias

    pot calling kettle black.

You're the one that's asian. Not me.

You're the one attacking posters who have an opinion and backing it up with statistics not me.

You're the one attacking posters who are new and acting all condescending because you've been here longer as if that's given you some kind of special authority or moral compass for fandom.

    Conceited C*nt Maggot.

And how has Lin performed in crunch time this season? I'll give you the airball against Miami, why don't you supply the rest of your storyline?

Beverly basically has NO window of success or a sample, and you're saying it makes sense that he suddenly supplanted Lin for 3 straight 4th quarters and it's not weird?

I don't remember who posted it or in what thread ( and I'm not looking for it on my phone ) but his numbers, along with harden, Beverly, and a couple others were posted and were among the best on the team...

Suns games shows that Lin makes costly TO, trapped by defense causing shot clock violation, poor FG attempts

Agreed! BTW Otis was awesome. Anyways, the Suns game shows us who Lin really is.
