So everybody understands that we do not completely agree, I do have a couple of "conditions" where JVG could/should be fired in season:

    (1) a lengthy (8 or more?) losing streak.
    (2) If Phil Jackson changed his mind, called Les, and wanted the job today.

Either of those are fairly unlikely, meaning the need for a drastic move like an in-season coaching change is also pretty small.

Van Gundy is falling fast in my book.

Why set up a play at the end of the game, where a miss results in a short rebound and a timeout? Why not give it to Mo or Yao in the post, or have Mcgrady or JJ shoot a jumper that results in a longer rebound, more time running off the clock and a chance for an offensive rebound. Get a clue on offense, Gundy.

Hell even Charles and Kenny said it...JVG is eventually going to need to let these guys run. Kenny said sometimes its hard to bite your tongue (JVG) when he sees his guys struggling and not doing the right thing. Kenny said eventually, he will have to. Kenny said players like AI, Stevie, T-mac, Marbury don't play well in the slow game (half court). They are better at breaking people down on the fastbreak. Charles called us slow, not very athletic, and in need of a point guard (nothing new). He also called the rockets stupid for not switching everything in the last 5 seconds.

I will tell you this, it is killing me to watch this team. I love the rockets. I make a "thing" to make sure I am home to watch the games. They play ugly basketball 70% of the time. I just know that their is something missing from that team.

couldn't agree with you more. That's also why I never liked him when He was with Knicks. For your information, I was a die hard Knicks fan. Because of him, I started hating Knicks. then I converted to Rox's fan when two teams met in the final. I was so happy Knicks lost. Otherwise, JVG would have become ever more overrated.

CHalres needs to STFU about that last play. Someone needs to pull up a clip of game 6 in the Western Conference Finals in 97 in the last seconds of that game.

so far this season JVG's stock has been falling.

    - he masterminded this team, he finally started getting the pieces he wanted such as..

    a. CWard - Man this guy stinks.. it seems his confidence is shot and we sign him to a 3 year deal?
    b. Spoon - whats he doing these days?

    - his substitution patterns suck. I cant believe he benches Yao and Tmac at the same time. It becomes a disaster..

theres more I wanted to add but im pretty pissed.

man our outside shooting sucks... (3pt shooting) we shoot way too many threes/

Yickes people apperantly more than half of the people in the bbs think he should get the tank. I bet if we won it would be the other way around or maybe not.....

Strip him of all personel input and give him until the end of his contract to turn things around. The roster is pretty much crap once you get past Yao, McGrady, and Jackson.

Well, that's pretty much the point.

JVG's substitution pattern, offensive sets are terrible. However, our problem mainly comes from lacking of decent role players who can consistently knock down wide open outside jumpers. It's painful to see that Yao/TMac created so many wide open jumpers and guys like Ward, Lue, JJ clanked them badly. If we only had a sweet shooter the caliber of Crawford, watch out.

JVG is focusing on defense too much to the detriment of the offense. I'd bring in Phil Jackson without a doubt.

This is absurd. Unless you are brain dead you can't help but notice that CD did not give JVG one single rebounder to work with on this team. Is it a problem? Absolutely!!! A huge gaping problem. We now average -4 in the rebounding department and it absolutely killed us in the 3rd quarter against NY.

Don't fire JVG - get a damn rebounder or two CD.

Odd that every other GM in the league seems to understand the value of rebounds.

Let me also add for you player development gurus that JVG turned Cato into a legitimate rebounder last year and got your favorite son -- Cat -- to actually pass the ball. Memories are very short around here.
