With Dwight now I see even Hardens offensive output even going down.

Not even close. They run a PnR offense in the half court predicated on spacing and sharing the ball. They also try to get as many early buckets as possible. However they run almost no set plays.

    of course it should.

We now have a genuine all star inside offensive presence.

It should make it easier for harden as he doesnt need to be carrying the team offensively

Having D Howard on the floor will open things up for all of our perimeter players ESPECIALLY in a PnR. That is going to be tough to stop no matter if its Harden aor Lin running it with Howard. I think Lin will be better wih Howard on th floor with him. Teams will have to always account for howard around the rim and that creates lanes to drive. Bringing in more shooters will also help keep the floor spaced.

This is an unselfish team with a coach that preaches ball movement. There will be plenty of shots available for everyone. I think we will still be ale to run due to being better on defense with Howard in the paint. Those blocks and altered shots (misses) can lead to breaks.

Yeah, I imagine we will see fewer Stevie-Franchise-esque iso plays this year.

If lin is not dribble penetrating and assisting howard and harden, and not taking open shots inside 3 point line, and floaters and layups.. then he needs to be sitting on the bench.

Check out those numbers late in the season and which should be Lin's standard coming in to this season!!!! WOW.

Houston--you have your third star right before your very eyes.

What's kind of funny is...whenever you have THREE stars on your team there is always going to be the question of who gets the ball. People say that if Jeremy Lin gets too awesome we should trade him so that Jeremy may realize his potential elsewhere. Trade him, for what though--another "star" who likewise won't get the number of shots he deserves and so that we can have the same problem all over again???? No. Keep Jeremy; and worse case scenario (I.e. he can't work alongside Harden) he comes off the bench to play his 30-plus minutes.

A motion offense implies a person in a triple threat position such as the high post with players cutting and setting screens off the ball. We do not do that.

We start most of our offense from the perimeter with a PnR.

Those of us that watched his 38 pt game vs SAS should all remember how he was able to get to the basket at will...

Chalmers' performances are different in that they were a result of his hot 3pt shooting, thus opening the lane for some easy penetration. Whereas Lin's ability is to create the opportunities through his penetration, and thus resulting in more space from the perimeter which can be better utilized with an improved 3pt shot

Don't forget the off ball picks. It takes an intelligent roster to run a free flowing offense. That McHale and his coaching staff chose that offense last year says a lot about the players. Or was it extreme desperation caused by a complete roster upheaval 2 days before their first regular season game? LOL

Jeremy Lin had the lowest TS% and the second highest usage in the starting lineup. That would suggest maybe not.

Holliger's PER is crap. Dwight ranked 15th among centers. You know something is majorly wrong when Brook Lopez is #1 and Blatche is 2nd among all centers.

    Lol

This is why I said that other factors are looked at also. Howard is also one of the best at drawing fouls. He is always usually 1 or 2 at scoring from the PnR and other things. He also leads the league at rebounds.

Like I said if it showed that Lin at the top you would love the stat and be touting it. Again I will say that this is a good thing for Lin as it is an easy stat to improve in. He just needs to improve a little at a few things and that stat is golden. Lin can use this to his advantage and I am sure he will. That is if you think he is capable of improving this next year.

He should have no problem at several stats improving this next year with more stability and working on his game. This is also where many of us laugh at you Lin fan boys. Blame others or talk bad about others in hopes to pump Lin up. Get over it. Harden and Howard is the team and the rest will play to their game.
