I'm going to start trolling every PC thread that's made around here... just to see what reaction I get from some of these PC users.

This coming from a guy who has an agenda against Apple... (for I don't know what reason). Your logic is that if someone owns an Apple product, they ARE a fanboy... no not a consumer... a fanboy.

Isn't it just lulzy how every single person in here spewing bile is a PC fan sh***ing on Macs or Mac fans?

Where are these angry and bitter mac fans I keep hearing about?

    Haters gonna hate, I guess.

Like I said before, the irony...

Not to mention this is the same poster who said Windows 7 phone was going to be the best phone EVAR before even touching one.

I'm going to retire from the world of PC...getting a MacBook Pro in January. I've bought 3 PC laptops over the last 6 years. I need something that can be a bit more reliable.

You should definitely not install random applications that pop up on your screen that say you need them. Obviously updates that you seek out or from publishers you recognize are OK. Adobe updates? OK. Microsoft updates? OK. The flashing pop up that says your PC is infected and you need to install Super Duper Spyware right away? NOT OK.

As for emails from your friends, emails like this that are infectious in nature are usually pretty generic and easy to spot. If you get something that sounds suspicious, don't open the attachment. Google the body of the message and see if you get any hits on known malware. A little caution and common sense goes a long ways.

Apple fanboys are so defensive. I don't even own a Windows Phone 7(not yet at least until they have better phones and update their OS) and I don't ever recall calling it the best phone ever. I might recall calling it the best UI and I still do believe it's the best UI or mobile OS. I'm going to tell it like it is. I own both products, Windows and Apple but Apple fanboys are the one I'm calling out and they know who they are.

So, you're against him getting one? Or you don't care and you're just here to get your troll fix?

He never presented that logic. He is actually saying to buy an apple product.

How is OSX dual boot on a PC the best of both worlds? It's like trying to put a Supra engine in a Ford Focus.

Actually it would be the opposite of that, it would be like putting a focus engine in a supra body...

Since you don't spend money on Apple computers, you should have enough discretionary cash to become a contributing member.

How is that? PC's and Mac's have a lot of the same hardware under the hood.

Yes because everyone will agree that PC's look better than Mac's (sarcasm, btw). Why do you consistently see a Macbook being used as a prop in TV shows and movies?

And OSX is much more powerful than Windows. What platform do most photographers, videographers, musicians, artists, etc. use? Why do you think so?

Why? At least you get to know the pros and cons on a product and be aware of it instead of a pro Apple fansites that would tell you otherwise.
