I've always hated Dallas. Any native Houstonian that doesn't should see a therapist, pronto.
Dallas sux. (not that there's anything wrong with that!)

I know where you're coming from, but DO NOT make the same mistake I made. Once they started sucking it up in the late '80's, I couldn't gather up the hate I could back in the day. I even committed the sin of actually feeling sorry for them. My reward? The early '90's Cryboys! A team that even a dumbass like Barry Switzer could win with. Face it, eventually, the'll make it back and their insufferable front-running, mouth-breathing fanbase will crawl out from under its rock and pretend like they've been riding the crackwagon all along.

ALWAYS hate the Cryboys. If you have a soul, it's your duty to hate the Cryboys. And, in times like these, hate them even more because, by sucking complete and total ass, it makes it less fun to hate them. F the Cryboys and their ignorant fans.

I don't get these people who pick and choose the teams they like. I'm from Houston, live in Houston and like all teams Houston.

I could never like a team from another city unless I live there or have lived there. What's the point?

That's easier said than done - what do you do if you live in a city that has NO major sports teams (like Nashville 30 years ago?). Rooting for the sports teams in Atlanta is not the same, IMO.

    ima,

I hear what you are saying about the Cowboys sucking now, but one reason to really hate them is Bill Parcells - one of the most obnoxious coaches ever in sports. To see them fail and knowing how pissed that makes the "Big Tuna" brings a big smile to my face.

completely agreed. i'm an astros, texans and rockets fan...why?? because i'm from Houston! it's that simple. players change teams every few years...the only thing that remains the same is the city...and even that changes sometimes! rooting for my teams is an extension of rooting for my hometown, overall.

manny -- i hear ya...but meowgi is likely talking about houstonians who root for teams in other cities....over Houston teams. it seems as ridiculous to him as it does to me.

OK, you've convinced me. I hate them again. :D

Seriously, don't get me wrong. I have and will always hate the crackboys ever since the days when dorsett used to steal headlines from the greatest athlete in the history of mankind....Earl Campbell. I hate them now just as much as ever and will continue to do so, thank you very much.

One of the greatest games ever was when Dom Capers Carolina team beat them in the playoffs. That was the beginning of the end of their dynasty and they knew it.

I also don't understand people who were born and raised in a major city liking teams from other cities. I was born and raised a Rocket/Oiler/Astro fan. My Dad would have disowned me if I rooted for any other teams. That's the way it should be.

Not trying to bring race into a discussion, but in regards to rooting for teams from a city other than your own....I notice there are a lot of hispanic Cowboys fans that live in Houston. Does anybody know the reason for that? I just assumed that is the team fans in Mexico root for.

I am 37 and proud to say that I absolutely despise everything about Dallas. That's just part of who I am. You don't have to accept it. Frankly, I could care less.

I am a fan of only Houston pro sports.

I hate the Cowbitches the most. Everytime I speak to a Cowboys fan they talk about all the Superbowl rings that they have and how many the Texans have. That's just silly. I respond calmly with 19-10 b****. I look forward to next years re-match.

The Mav's keep tradition well in the Cowboys offseason.

growing up in a place wehre there are no pro sports teams causes your favorite teams to be all over the place. in basketball obviously i love the rockets, in football i love the packers, and in baseball the white sox. now that ive moved to chicago, the bulls are my second favorite team in basketball, but i havent been able to like the bears. theres so much hate towards the packers in chi town that i cant root for the bears at all.

good thing the packers beat them every year so i dont have to take even more ****. :p
