Amnestied with 3 guaranteed years on the contract. Would it be worth making a $2-3M/year claim on him?

Only as a minimum salary requirement filler. No other purpose.

Im pretty sure Asik will get matched. We need a Center. Even if we are able to make a deal for Howard/Bynum, I think Haywood would be a decent backup.

I think Haywood is worth a $2M waiver claim, but he wouldn't make too much sense on this team. Let the young guys play.

Yes, we need at least 30 players going into the Summer league. We're almost there!

I thought this team was tanking if they strike out on Dwight?

After using the amnesty on Haywood and signing Kaman, how much cap room do the Mavs have as of right now?

Yeah, Haywood would keep us from sucking balls. He's so talented he barely made it off the Mavs bench last year.

Haywood is not going to come in and make Rockets contenders. We would still suck with him but atleast we would have someone to backup DMo so we dont play him excessive minutes.

Are the Wolves expected to amnesty Darko? I wouldn't be totally opposed to taking a flyer on him.

I would rather put Zoran Dragic at the 5 than pay Brendan Haywood salary for a season that will only serve to develop young players.

Haywood will be a good backup center, Houston should go after him with about 2.5m/year(7-8m/3years)

Would rather play Terrence Jones at center than throw away money on Haywood.

They are rebuilding, not tanking. Coach wants veteran leader.

Leadership is the only thing he could bring that would bring this team value. The question is, is he a good leader or will he just come here to collect a check and play the post by default.
