The same can be said when you see too many flags, ribbons and other patriotic paraphernalia

Yes, we here in America just had to kill off those pesky indians so we could spread our greatness on the land. It was a tough deal but we had to do it so we could stand on our own two feet.

There is no doubt about it though you will come to a singular purpose under a murderous dictaor. My way or the die way.

I don't think that is quite the same, those symbols represent the people and their ideals. When the leaders change those symbols remain. The cult is the ideology not the man.

    I meant more like this:

This guy is Saparmurat Niyazov and he is creating a complete state around his personality in Turkmenistan.

Saddam never had any weapons of mass destruction after he was disarmed in gulf war 1. but he did'nt want to admit it publicly because he feared neighbouring mllah's . he was bluffing. but i'm sure our intelligence community knew this. yet we choose to lie to the international community and start a bogus war.

Gee, I wonder what Bush would say to that question... Oh, aren't we lucky... someone asked him today... Note the discussion about 9-11.

omgwtfgth... All of his justifcations are so broad that any large oil producing non-democratic state is ripe for the picking.

I don't want to be in a lottery for an all expenses paid trip to Iran.

The dream of a united, democratic Iraq is fading fast. I say we need to split it in three parts (Shia,Sunni,Kurd), and cut our losses. Otherwise, I don't see how civil war can be avoided.
