Even he will play, I really don't want to see him play 40 minutes for the regular season unless necessary.

I been saying to rest him quite sometime ago. Try to get him as much rest as possible without jepordizing the play off spot.

Why should Harden play -- we're clearly better without him.

I think in these next three games we should use him in a reserve role if he is ready to play. Limit him to 20 minutes a game and as he heals increase it to 25 unless a game becomes do or die.

    This.

Don't play him, look to trade him after the season. Don't need him. Rockets are better off without him.

His value is at an all time high, too bad most teams know about his stat padding tendencies so he is at best worth Landry Fields. I say we rest him so his value doesn't fall too much, so we can acquire Landry Fields next season. Fields is a good player who complements this team.

18000+ posts and this is what you bring to the CF community?

Harden should rest, Yao, Brandon Roy, Stephen Strasburg, Mark Prior all come to mind. He's 23, could be a HOFer, Rocket retired jersey in 12 years. Hopefully he'll be ready by the playoffs though.

How can he be a HoFer when he doesn't even have the best +/- on the team? We need to move him while his value is high for a defensive stud, 3 pt shooter like Landry fields. Maybe we can get another player in the deal too, Toronto likes to take the ass end of deals.

    That's what I bring? Sure I guess.

That is my opinion. Rockets are better off without him. You hear the coaches & players talk about it. Offense flowing, ball moving, players involved, defense is better, so on and so forth.

I have no idea what went on in that "Are we better without Harden?" thread, but seeing all these veteran posters sink to the same level of crazy fan with poorly attempted sarcasm and trolling does make a sorry sight and a bleak future for this board.
This thread wasn't even about Lin vs Harden, just a very legitimate question about his injury status and how the team should handle it. Can we shove the comments above where they actually belong?

PS: I would surely trade for Landry Fields if we can add a clause in his contract that requires his wife to attend every single Rockets' game.

I would rather miss the playoffs by sitting him than forcing him to come back so we can squeeze into a 4 game sweep embarrassment only to prolong his injury for the seasons to come.

Its a no-brainer that is the smartest decision for the long run

I would like to sit out Parsons and sign a guy who shoots threes.
