You know why? T-Mac. He likes Alston. Enough said?

Good Post, but somewhat, I am thinking we should have a balance first and second string.

    We can start

    <<First Team>>
    Yao
    Hayes
    Battier
    TMac
    Rafer

    <<Second Team>>
    Deke
    Scola
    Bonzi
    MJ
    SF3

the offense of both strings can be very balanced, and it will cause oppoenent having trouble to match up their players.

Could have sworn we traded him to get T-Mac otherwise he wouldnt have been traded

and FWIW Mike James killing the ball movement much more than anyone else this season

IMO steve should start if Hayes is starting

rafer should start if Scola is but steve get just as many if not more minutes

right now the starting 5 has two players who cannot create their own shot and are not any sort of scoring threat in hayes and alston. Teams can double either Tracy or Yao easily without any major issues. With either Francis/Scola starting (depending on matchups) that is less likely to happen

Doesn't matter if he starts or not as long as he gets about 30-35 min a game. He is a better scorer and rebounder than any of our other guards.

The problem with Scola is that he doesn't give us anything defensively at the moment. He is averaging negative +/- stats in games he has played in. I recoginize that he is a great offensive talent and if T-Mac and Yao can get him to play some decent defense, he'd be a great player.
