Lin, Harden, Parsons, Asik, Dwight, Dmo, Jones, Garcia, Brewer, Casspi, Bev, Brooks, Smith, Covington, and Canaan... who am i missing? Will the injury to Camby open up another roster spot? Reggie Williams hasn't played much in the first preseason games. I think we have more than enough shooters. I bet Brewer is worth more to the coaching staff as a perimeter defender.

I hope Morey and McHale develop Casspi into a solid backup player, instead of trying to flip him for scraps like they've been known to do.

Here is a youtube video with all Casspi's points and rebounds of last morning's game.

    <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/EId_Z62AbIU?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

He had some nice rebounds, swooping in and snatching a few in traffic. Also a good tap-out that led to the and-one.

A definite steal if he fits like it looks. Dude can play the four in a small ball lineup and shoot the three. That's killer for this team.

As things stand, Williams might get cut along with brewer

Covington hasn't overwhelmed either except for the dunk in his first game.

Just because his stroke in practice looks good does not mean he can drain those in games

He's a good prospect while Brewer and Williams are not.

I think Morey may cut Covington and go with a veteran in Reggie Williams. If injuries occur, Rockets need someone who can help the team win. If we didn't have Howard obviously Covington would not be cut.

Prospects like BJ Young go the Vipers.
Because he wasn't actually drafted like Canaan, it is safer to cut him and let him join the Dleague.

Brewer and Brooks might not look good in limited minutes but they have playoff experience. That you can't obtain easily.

Covington has nothing, he has not played an NBA regular season game yet and I can't imagine him playing postseason. He is just not ready.

Covington have potential and will be given the chance to develop in the d-league. Why waste the roster spot it on williams and brewer when out bench is already decent enough. We cnt possibly give them playing time every game. Unless Williams and brewer can prove a point during the next few games, thn we will have to cut someone else.

Yeah Covington at least needs 1-2 years of development

    Similar case:
Greg Smith was needed because big men was scarce at that time otherwise he would not be where he is today

Or high possibility, Morey is already making calls to trade Smith for picks since we can't afford him next year. And cut 1 other player.
