ALL minutes is pushing it. Agree he should get more playing time but he still has a lot of learning to do. Dorsey is stronger and gets more rebounds.
The most important thing that Capela does better than Dorsey is be a true rim protector and be able to actually alter shots... nobody is scared of Dorsey. Vs Hornets, don't you remember the second Capela came in, our lead grew huge... we ended up extending our lead to arund 10-11... and when coach brought in Dorsey in exchange for Capela, the bobcats went on a 13-2 run... it's simple, we need Capela in there due to our volume shooting with his rebounding and rim protection so we can get 1-2 more opportunities per possession...
You just want another round of retooling. Not sure Dwight and Harden are signed up for waiting another 3-4 years to get to the Finals
dorsey should be a one time only player for us. when someone on the other team wont miss, we send dorsey after them. that'll teach him
Dorsey's floor in the playoffs is not much higher than Capela's. But Dorsey's ceiling in the playoffs is much lower than Capela's Depending on the opponent, we may need to increase the variance, as Morey would say. That means high-risk, high-reward moves. Capela does that.
I'm still wondering if Morey has the guts to pull the trigger on a big man upgrade and drop Dorsey. Boban Marjanovic should be available since his team's season is done. That's a lot of size and he can hit free throws. Also, Andray Blatche should be available. And Javale McGee has been available for awhile. Mcgee is all over the board on his free throw shooting though. So don't know if Morey would even consider him at this point. Does Morey have the guts to dump Dorsey on the last day of the season?
Like I said in game thread, this is the right move to move Capella ahead of Dorsey in the rotation. No excuse to keep sending Dorsey out there.
