Bonzi should be on the 2nd team. His scoring & defense is needed there. I watched the game on S.A. tv. After Bonzi hit a couple of shots over Barry, the S.A. announcers made note that Bonzi was using his size advantage(35 lbs heavier according to them) over Barry(Barry has a longer wing span & is 2" taller).

like i said bonzi is fine off the bench. normally the spurs like to put ginobili in when 2nd units are on the floor because he's usually the best player and can score at will. however, we can just put bonzi in when ginobili gets in and he'll own him offensively and on the glass. theres no way bonzi's starting ahead of battier, who's our best defender and can spread the floor.

He is our best answer to Ginobili, so keep him with the second unit.

    I agree with Ziggy.

Most on the boards are Bonzi skeptics at best, more like BOH. How does the crow taste everybody?????

But all in all, Bonzi is our bench punch. He could be effective as a starter, but its not worth keeping Battier, our best defender, off the floor. I love the offensive initiative MJ and Bonzi bring off the bench, just when the starters are wearing down. MJ's arrogance is turning out to be just what we needed. Imagine if JVG had him, all the shots Rafer missed...... but then again JVG has a way of storing most everybody in his doghouse and MJ may not have gotten into the rotation.

Taking a wild guess...you've never been an NBA coach or GM or anything remotely associated with player personnel decisions for NBA teams, have you?

I really don't understand this board's obsession with who starts and who doesn't. The Rockets have arguably the best bench in the league right now. Why do you want to change it?

Yes, I understand that you're only talking about the spurs, but it would be silly to change the whole rotation just for one team. Especially when everything is great the way it is (ie. we just beat the team with our rotation as is).

It's not who starts, it's who finishes.

It's about who steps it up on a game by game basis.

we have one of the best, defintely top 3, but dallas is still the best, especially with jason terry (rockets killer) and jerry stackhouse coming off the bench.
