I think Blatt is a great coach...I mean he'd be a great coach in College or in Europe. In NBA though? Knowing basketball is not enough, you have to handle the personalities of the players.
I think Blatt should be hired by Brooklyn. Low pressure situation where no one expects you to win for a while. He can learn the player management stuff over a few years if that's the only thing he's lacking.
His style only works against limited teams. If a team has talent spread out they are patient and abuse his schemes. The Cavs aren't worried about beating the bad teams. With LeBron, Irving, and Love you don't need to worry about beating those teams. It was the right move. A coach should take good players/teams and teach them how to win against smart defense/good teams. Not the other way around.
What has this guy done?? The NBA aint the Israeli league We all know why the Cavs went to the finals last year and it wasnt because of him The only thing we know about Blatt is that he cant stand up to superstars
so why does lebron need a coach? let's wait and see what lue brings to the table. lol. tyrone lue of all people.
How many NBA finals has Thibs head coached? And didnt some of the Bulls players feel like Thibs ran them into the ground with minutes and still didnt win anything, but he is the only choice by some. Not very consistent.
Kept the Bulls' head above water, while Rose was injured? Year in, year out, they were the team to contend with James' Cavs and Heat teams.
oh i see. great... blatt's cavs took the gsw to game 6 w/ 2 of the 3 stars injured. how's it compare? thibs is a bit overrated,,,, by some cf's.
Sure, Blatt can come to Houston if he wants. We have great food and museums. But I don't know what else he'll do while he's here for the weekend.
