Except you're still ignoring that he has done more to reign in Wall Street than any other President and probably any other politician in decades. Yes he took a lot of money yet he still did several things that were not in Wall Street's interest. I also think you're continuing to downplay the challenges Obama faced. Remember he only had a 60 seat majority in the Senate for a short time as Kennedy left office not long after Obama was inaugurated.

By most historical measures Obama was remarkably successful in his first term. It seems like in very liberal and very conservative circles where Obama is considered to be a failure.

Every billionaire is a policy failure. At the very least, there should be a limit. Say, twice what the most expensive NFL team is worth. That would cap things at $30 billion. Still an amount of money unfathomable to most and enough to corrupt many institutions and fund a lot of candidates and think tanks.

You provide good reasons why $30 billion is too much. Probably around $1 billion. Of course they should be greatly limited in their ability buy. politicians, think tanks, unlimited money allowing them to monopolize media etc. Oligarchy sucks! Even little MAGA realize this in a twisted sort of way as they blame immigrants and other scapegoats and put their hopes in their Lord and Savior Donald Trump.

Radical? Not really. All this existed in the golden age for the American middle class, with cheap college, subsidized student loans, a $26/hr minimum wage in today's money, pensions etc.

Do you believe that the government should put a cap on the ability of a citizen to succeed?

As long as income tax scales appropriately, I don't see why not. Tell me why this isn't the case.

I don't believe that the Affordable Care Act was a success. Healthcare costs have increased dramatically since its inception. It's true that some have benefited, but it's been a disaster for most.

I'm pretty sure I heard on the news this morning while brewing my coffee that California was going to set up an extra tax on billionaires. I don't have any information on it, but someone not at work might want to look it up for us. I believe I heard it will be a onetime 5% tax on total assets.

Apparently Newsom wants billionaires in California, or at least their money.
