Ray Allen: umm 2-3 more seasons
Nash: 2 at the max...

Both great players...and have chances of winning NBA HoF in the future.

I'd hate to turn this thread into a Kobe lovefest, but these topics of discussion really emohasize Kobe's greateness. I know he isn't as old as other players mentionrd here, but his longavity and yhr amount of years that he has played at the highest level is rarely matched. I look at other players like Carter and Mcgrady, and Kobe was still at his peak when those players were at their peaks. But Kobe is still playing at near peak levels while those two players are done within a few years. Carter and Mcgrady are only 2 examples. I could name a lot more players like them.

You forgot luck. Yes, Kobe's longevity has a lot to do with his work ethic, the fact that he always stays in top shape. But it also has a lot to do with luck. Work ethic doesn't stop you from having a serious injury that can derail your career.
