i would think that may be worse..if you're shy and out of nowhere a girl makes a move, it may cause you have a panic attack :grin: i think it depends.... i think it's fine to expect a guy to make the first move, whether a girl gives a hint or not, but if he's not picking up on it, or maybe hasnt noticed the girl, then it's up to the girl to make the move first. Unfortunately most women won't and will just move one, which is probably why many end up having to settle a lot (not permanently though, usually int heir earlier relationships). Instead of waiting for something to say yes to, they need to make a move on what they want.
Reeko - did you just use the phrase heavy petting? I thought you were at least under 50. And of course a woman can make the first move. Gender roles are absurd and outdated.

Does the girl actually spelling it out the she is interested count as the "first move" or not? Because if so, yeah she totally can! If not, then after you have at least some vague idea that she's interested you should make the move....

You see, women understand this is how men are. (The "BOOBS!" mentality). So if they see a guy they like, they engineer a complex maneuver by which they are placed in the perfect position to be "made the first move on." I cannot begin to breakdown this process. It's like Dennis Rodman getting a rebound- he doesn't go where the ball is, but to where it's GOING to be. Inevitably, it works 99.9% of the time.
In a lot of countries, it's still their culture to have men do everything. I think in most Asian countries it's still like that. It's unfortunate, but that's the way they like it I guess. It's particularly harder to know who made the first move when the girl/guy is your close friend. "hey jane, sup? me? nuthin... say wanna buttsecks?"
