This is a classic case of an player not knowing when it's time to hang'em up & shut up. So sad.

Pretty sure we'd all be hating Dwight if he doesn't resign here, so no need to pretend to have high morals.

Lets be honest, the only reason Rockets fans disliked Dwight was because the media wouldn't accept Yao was the better center.

Shaq is borderline top ten at best. Hakeem was much better regardless of the title count. Dwight isn't in the discussion (yet).

Kobe and Wade were the reasons Shaq won championships IMHO. Shaq was just a huge brute with a couple decent offensive moves and was also a decent passer. Otherwise, he's Tyson Chandler plus a few inches and 75 pounds of muscle.

Shaq was much better on Offense than Dwight, not comparable.

And Shaq's D did not trail Howard's by much when he put effort into it.

Hopefully this motivates Dwight to do whatever it takes and trust the coaching staff.

Of course he's going to say that. Shaq got him his rings. This only proves he was riding Shaqs coat tails. Kobe was Robin Shaq was Batman.

Haha gotta love Kobe for providing the laughs. If that was off the air, you bet Shaq would've been like: n ---- what?? It's maybe to squash things or whatever but just dumb to say and to think even more. Always putting someone else down, it's a bad sad he still cannot take the high road like Dwight did.

One thing about Dwight though, and this would be something mainly Nash should still be mad about, and that his refusal to play pick and roll and demand all those post ups. That's the same thing I dislike about him now, though he's not as bad as in LA. Dwight will always have ego problems and thinking he's better than he is, just like Kobe. Ironic how they are alike in that regard now since Kobe is old :)

Pathetic. Kobe is like a washed up actor trying to get in the headlines with a publicity stunt. Be prepared for "Life as Kobe" the reality series coming to NBATV summer 2018.

The fact that he never appreciated Shaq, easily a Top 10 player of all time, says way more about Kobe than it says about Dwight.

The more this guy talks the less likeable he is.

Of course we know Dwight isn't Shaq. No one ever claimed he was, not even Dwight himself.

Could you imagine someone saying "I never appreciated playing with Hakeem"??

Just saw espn first take and I never knew he brought in Shaq during half time to tell him how much he appreciates him, I guess to send Dwight a message, but what in the world?

Kobe's stupidity is breath taking. A real sight to behold at times. If he wants to reach back 10-15 years and bring up the Kobe-Shaq Feud, and then link it to the Kobe-Howard, then please be our guest. It makes Howard look good and all the Laker schlobbers who have been bagging on Howard ever since look really bad. So he didn't appreciate his superstar big he admits now. Hmm and that superstar big left. I see a trend here. Kobe is begging everyone "Hey look at this trend!"

And remember all that crap during that era? Did he really have to throw Shaq under the bus by saying "I should have just paid ladies to be quiet like Shaquille Oneal, my Laker teammate who is 7'1 320lbs and is named Shaquille Oneal" ?

Kobe Bean just can't stand that he is done and not loved the way Jordan was in his career.

We all know Shaq was incredibly dominating. Kobe was with him when both of them were in the prime.

Howard's lone season in LA, he lead the league in rebounds (12.4) with 1 arm and fresh off back surgery and still kicked 17 points and 2.4 blocks a night. There were several people questioning his desire and toughness. Give me a break. Plus that playoffs LA went out Kobe was the guy that got hurt after attacking teammate character all season, yet Dwight visited Kobe in the hospital. Dwight is a champion in life where Kobe Bean the rapists is a loser in life.

Right, becuase those teams he carried to 3 straight Finals and 2 Finals wins were so stacked. Pau was great, Lamar was a real good role player, and everyone else fit a specifc role playing with the guy who was the best player in the NBA for about a good 5-7 year run.
