Man I was freaking out since my little sister is over there right now. Thankfully she's safe but man what an awful thing to wake up to. Prayers for the affected families.
From all the vids/snaps of the shooting, it sounded like full auto unless there was a ton of echo. What a piece of ****.
So you've never attended a Rockets game or any sort of sporting event? This is truly horrifying. I can't believe people can be so cruel and ruthless.
I have. I feel the stadiums are more secure over a park event. Outdoor. Etc. but **** always happens and we live in a crazy world.
So horrible.. I'm a musician and this especially hurts hearing how something that was such a celebration of life has been turned into a horiffic tragedy. My heart goes out to all of those who have lost their lives, those who have been wounded and to Jason Aldean and his band. I wrote this on my facbook page this morning and wanted to share it with y'all including the many Clutchfans musicians. I was talking to someone last night about playing music. I laughed about playing music for fame and fortune. As I pointed out my band is more than Serfs in name but also serfs when it comes to earnings and recognition. I play and I love being on stage because it is a celebration of life. Music is about timing and the moment. It is by nature ephemeral. If one note didn't end we wouldn't hear the next. When things work just right though you can feel the connection with the audience and with everything else. Life is also made up of moments that pass but sometimes you find those moments that make individual life greater and more worthwhile. That is what makes this shooting so painful. For the audience in that Vegas night and the performers on stage that moment was special and the height of life only be suddenly wiped out..
Not to downplay this horrible shooting, or that we should just not worry about it, especially when we can definitely get better at preventing these events. Just some perspective. It's crazy world. But it's less crazy today then even 100 years ago, and definitely then 500 or 1000 years ago. You have a greater chance of being killed in a car accident, or probably by a random weather event.

Call me paranoid, but I never feel completely secured no matter if I'm at a indoor/outdoor concert, at a stadium/arena, or even a mall like the galleria. I feel like we become such easy targets for mass shootings such as these, especially when people are leaving the event in droves once it's ended. I feel for the people that had a joyous event turned into such dread and mayhem.
Hurts their credibility when they claim Muslim terrorists. Apparently, they'll claim any damn atrocity they can. Did Hurricane Harvey convert as well? Of course, if he really did convert to Islam and become an extremist fighter then
