Look, it's not important, but it's just not what I'd do with my six-year-old, if I had one. Ultraviolent, nightmarish movie. I'm just thinking of the kids themselves and not the other movie customers.

An infant won't even be able to focus on the screen.

I absolutely remember the names of the Columbine kids.

As for the kid thing...I'll be bringing my 7 year old to see this movie. Depends on the kid.

Another thing that I am guessing is going to come from this is a lot of handwringing and speculation about how violent movies like this may contribute or even cause this type of behavior. I remember when Columnbine happened there was a lot of talk about how the Matrix and Nine Inch Nails might've motivated those killers.

Well obviously I am the moron. We should do a poll on how many even know those losers names. I doubt there is more than three.

Yep, we're going to go through the same s**tshow all over again with movies, tv, video games, etc. This will probably push gun control into the 2012 election rhetoric as well. Oh goodie, I can't wait to watch all these old chestnuts get dusted off.

It's very difficult for me to argue with the contention that our culture promotes violence.

I'm sure we'll see plenty of those kind of discussions all over the news channels.

of course you will....the guy apparently dressed up like bane, with a gas mask, from what i heard.

he went into the movie theater to appear as the very villain on film who was directing the very same sort of random violence the killer was carrying out.

it's not exactly a huge logical leap.

i'm not suggesting we should censor movies...as I said, I'll be seeing this movie with my kids. there are amazing lessons to be taught from these movies.

He used tear gas, that's why he had a gas mask.

It doesn't help either that the way they're describing this guy to be dressed is almost as if he was dressing himself as Bane, who in the movie is just as brutal.

When I think of Bane, I don't think of random gunshot massacres, FWIW.

I don't know, I'm only semi-literate when it comes to Batman culture.

I think of terror...I think of the creepy mask...i think of chaos...a movie theater shooting sounds a lot like a Batman villain on a budget.
