What a great thing to do, Bale. What about a camera monitoring system for the exits? Have a small room for a security guard to monitor. If the guard see something amiss then he can talk on a walkie talkie to let the staff know. Not sure if that would have prevented this shooting.
I don't get this either! On the news yesterday, it was reported that he kept spitting at the guards to a point that they made him to wear a face mask.

too cost prohibitive...as i basically brought up the idea earlier in this thread and was shot down. lol word is bale only saw 7 survivors in one hospital. the rest of them can still see him on screen. sucks to be you.
There has never been a story or rumor before or after that one incident that ever painted him as a jerk, so I would hardly say he has a reputation of being one.
There has to be something to prevent this from happening again. I am terrified of the idea that the terrorists are going to do this on a large scale for huge opening nights in the future.
All they need is cameras (possibly one camera per 2-3 exits, depending on the viewing angle) and an alarm that's only audible at the box office. . Place the monitoring screens at the box office. If someone opens the door, an employee takes a quick glance and advises security/staff on what triggered it. Also, the theaters need to give moviegoers the right to lock out anyone who uses that exit. People should not be using it to answer calls, only to leave completely.

These things can't be stopped. If you stop it at the theater, people will just pick a mall or grocery store or anything else. Unless you want all of society under surveillance at all times, all these types of solution do is "stop the last attack". Basically, it costs a lot of money but doesn't solve an actual problem.
