Freak'n crazy. I hope they don't execute him, but give in life in prison instead. He's got a purda mouth.
While I condone not giving in, ..honestly I can't see going to another midnight premiere, and I am afraid we have seen the end of that fun going forward anyways. . .
In other words what I'm trying to say is there are more bad guys than you think out there. Why exactly do you think the prisons have become overcrowded now-a-days. Just because there are rules put out doesn't mean everyone will obey them and obide by them. If someone wants to go out and do something bad to people with a weapon of that nature a gun ban is not going to stop them in their tracks and make them think twice.
I bet the source of his guns and explosives will become a hot topic in ensuing days afte this initial shock. I hope Obama will make a move this time. Now is the best time.
I'm still going to go see midnight movie showings. 'can't live your life on a 1/100,000 chance of something like that happening to you. Otherwise, I wouldn't drive.
I always wondered how noone ever snuck into an emergency exit before at a cinema and did something like this? I understand they are supposed to lock to where noone can come in from the outside...but how would they intercept someone unless they were actively watching/checking the doors? How did this guy get in? It read like he pried open the door with a crowbar or something? Or, he was there before and intentionally rigged the door not to close? Or, he was helped. Those emergency exits are the biggest security threat at the movies imo. Noone is going to come marching through the front door rampaging unless they have a small army with them probably. It's unfortunate...but how do you stop it from happening again? It seems to me that you cannot and those doors will always represent not only a way out in case of emergency but a way in for the whack jobs. Surely, people have snuck into movies through those exits before?
A move to what? The only thing I've had a problem with in terms of gun control is the incredibly easy access to Assault rifles after the ban expired. I could buy a Bushmaster at Academy right now if I wanted too. That's scary. I walked in to by my first handgun a year ago and I walked out in less than 45 minutes.
http://www.chron.com/news/article/12-killed-59-wounded-in-Colo-theater-shooting-3721906.php New York City's police commissioner said he was told the gunman had painted his hair red and called himself the Joker — Batman's nemesis — but Aurora police would not confirm that.
So what would you rather arm a criminals? A guns or knives? A gun ban might not lessen the criminals or hooligans but at least there wouldn't have been these kind of attempt of massive massacre because they didn't arm to the teeth with these firearms.
our prisons are overcrowded because there hotels... they get free food..a bed...tv...weight room...outdoor sports... i mean these guys dont desereve any of that. Make it where they dont want to go back to jail.
There's always been a ban. Well, you have to basicly pay $5,000 for federal permits and even finding a fully auto sub machine gun is really expensive and hard.
They are usually not locked. I worked at a theater before, and we had a homeless guy (weird seeing in an affluent suburb). He would come in and sleep on the chairs in the first couple of rows.
You obviously don't know what jail is. There are no more weight rooms, tv's and they get an hour outside now.
The only reason why you'd pick a country that's notable for its absence of rule-of-law to make an argument about the efficacy of a given law is if you're being disingenuous, or are just dumb. Not sure which one you are, but fortunately, I no care.
I worked at a theater before, and we had a homeless guy (weird seeing in an affluent suburb). He would come in and sleep on the chairs in the first couple of rows. But I have even snuck into a theater from the back, but a friend came and opened the door for us. Mischievous teens.
