Lol,right lock your doors and kill the lights no ones coming home tonight" Chirp chirp Keep hearing news and lock my doors, but I open my window to chirp chirp C'mon guy don't be scared of life, and recluse yourself. That's what they want for you to live in fear.
Warner Bros. considers cancellation of 'The Dark Knight Rises' screenings http://movies.msn.com/movies/article.aspx?news=744624
This is purely entertainment though. I wouldn't blame someone for opting not to watch a movie just in case something happens later. The movie isn't going anywhere. On the other hand, after 911 people still needed to fly for more important reasons.
And it's your belief that the US gov't is not corrupt and actually enforces it's laws on all levels regardless of race or income level? Wake up, man. The difference there is culture. The US will never be able to mirror the culture of the Japanese in this area. It's an unobtainable utopian fantasy. I would surmise that to be yes. The 2nd amendment was put in to prevent an overzealous gov't from tromping on the rights of it's citizens. I see examples every day of gov't tromping.
What's my point? My goodness man. READ. You even quote it yourself. Maybe try reading YallMean post also. Lets me give you another example. If they banned every single person of owning a dog. Instead of hearing in the news people are being attack by them every single day for 365 days. That's 365 people being attacked by dogs in a year. Now if you banned people and take away their dogs. Sure you will have a few that will illegally try to sneak one into their own home. So now instead of hearing 365 attack per year by dogs you will hear something around 1 attack per month.
That would be stupid. I still plan on seeing the movie a second time. You either let evil take over or you rise. why do we fall?
I understand the feeling... i felt that way this morning after reading about it but those are things we can't control.... it can literally happen at anytime. If i do watch it i think i rather be at a movie tavern lol.
no, not that I am afraid of another shooting incident or the samething will happen to another theater. Just kind weird to think about those who died who was watching the same scene when they got shot. I just couldn;t stop thinking that way. I will probably still watch it but probably not this weekend, probably not in a movie theater.
and btw, you shouldn't protect by taking away either. I mean we can but do we want to? If we racial profiled 9/11 could be stopped. If we took away alcohol, thousands upon thousands (much more than gun murders) could be stopped. Sports cars, Pit bulls- who needs to own a pit bull anyway? - take them away ... We all die. Screw this world if living means giving in to constraints. The movie exemplified standing up for what you value even if it means death. You either lay down in the underground cage to live another day or you rise.
If you really think there are only a tiny amount of people looking for ways to get guns (if this was something that happened), you're living in another universe... this world isn't as law abiding and happy as you think it to be. It's not that easy to do.
I am saying Mexico is not a good example to compare to. Yes the us law enforcement is also corrupted, and yes there will even be incidents rotten people taking advantage gun laws to create a black market. We all can play that movie in all our head. Yes to all the parade of the horribles. But that is just too much. By that logic if there is some rights involved on one end and harm on the other end, the legislative and the government should not regulate because our government doesn't have the strength to enforce it faithfully. Absurd, isn't it. If you don't think banning civilian gun ownership would probably prevented the columbine shooting, the Virginia tech shooting, and possibly this one, I can't argue with you. These crazy kids are not terrorists and didn't have the money to get whatever they want. Yet, the deadly weapons are so accessible to fulfill their evil agenda. Precisely because we can't trust the govt to enforce a complicated process as required under the current law, there should be a simple ban.
