Understand what you're saying, that means on average a player hits 4/6 on twos EVERY night, or 66%. LOL DH didn't even register this high a percentage when he had 0 moves and only dunked the ball. Anyway my point still stands, a player hitting 50% overall while shooting 33% from the three is impossible unless the player is taking just 0-2 threes a game.

Why are you talking about Lowry when your OP is about the bleacher report about Antoine Walker? LOL get off the crack pipe dude. Antoine Walker sucks, end of story. Lowry is much better since he shots threes at 40%, and he always gets to the foul line.

The overall FG% is elite for wings. The 3p% is below average, if you're taking just 1 three a game there's a high chance luck is distorting your real 3p shooting ability.

Of course any moron looking at this will ask why you even take 3s, just score inside and dominate.

Unless that player is Lebron James. He did it this year taking 3.5 threes per game and last year shooting 5 threes per game.

3pt shooting is like FTs. The efficiency of a 3pt shot is so much better than a 2pt shot that even a mediocre or "bad" 3pt shooter can increase his overall scoring efficiency by taking and making 3pt shots. You have to be REALLY bad for it to not help you. Just like the guy who shoots a "bad" 65% from the FT line. If he gets 10 FTAs, that's better than what Dwight Howard shoots averages from the field.

Walker's 34% 3pt shooting wasn't bad. It's what most non-specialists shoot. Walker's 3pt shots helped his scoring efficiency in 2001-2002. His TS% was horrible because his 2pt shooting was a crappy 42%, and he only got a measly 4 FTAs per game despite playing 42 mpg.

i'm not saying 33% from deep is elite shooting. what i'm saying if a wing player can manage 50% fg overall despite 33% 3P fg while taking a reasonable volume of shots, chances are he's an elite player and i'll gladly take it. i don't recall any player that achieves the said % isn't all-star caliber. obviously walker was not such a player. he shot 41% for his career.

    My goodness.

How was a guy who had a TS% of 47% allowed to shoot so much?
