And that is the intersection I was saying was literally 20 yards from the practice fields. It's probably more than 20, but not more than 35.

Or if it happened on Guadalupe across from UT, they would say shooting at UT.

I imagine the headline would probably be "shooting in SEC country".

Now saying 3 dead, 1 constable, the suspect, and 1 innocent civilian. Also heard reports that 2 officers injured and 1 civilian (who is currently in surgery on her leg).

Another tragedy... yet I still refuse to give these assholes the credit of insanity. These are simply bad people doing bad things. Throw them away.

If I had the ability to change the thread name I would if that would quiet the people that are really arguing over exactly where this horrible mess went down. I went based on the initial reports from the site saying near Texas A & M.

Another poor sap getting evicted from his home and losing his mind. It's a shame they always shoot the wrong people.

It's no consolation, but I feel stupid arguing about it.

Although they are doing a pretty damn good job at keeping details as "wrapped up" as any police/news/shooting spree report would typically report (see Aurora). And I mean that in the sense, that they aren't giving the shooter nearly as much 15-minute fame fuel as recent shooters.

I worry that our country may one day get to the point where stuff like this happens so often that it's not as big of a deal anymore. Kind of like down in Mexico where dead bodies just pop up randomly in trashbags from the drug war, or whatnot. I mean, within a month, we've had THREE mass shootings (if you call this a mass shooting, that is).

That's a thought worthy of worry, but I don't think we're anywhere near that point rather the complete opposite. Surely we can find a "happy" medium. Let the people know that the shootings happened, but don't shine a spot light on any one particular.
