Rockets need to take a look at every 40% 3pt shooter in G-League, riding some bench on NBA team and overseas. Duncan Robertson - Ingles - prove you don’t have to be great on D We miss soooo many wide open 3s

We need to find them now, so we can sign them cheap remember we only have Wood for 2 more years. We can still tank
By the time we are worth anything Woods might very well be gone dude. Any signing that could hurt the tank is not good right now. Trade for picks and get those shooters in the draft.
We looking to trade players and teams not willing just giving up high picks, we might as well take flyers on a few shooters off other teams benches in the trades.
6'7 Furkan Korkmaz (23 yrs) - 35% 3P this season, 40% last season. 6'9 Paul Reed (21 yrs) - 44% 3P in G League, G League MVP candidate. 6'7 Ryan Broekhoff (30 yrs) - 39% + 40% 3P last 2 seasons in NBA. 6'1 Terry Rozier (26 yrs) - 43% from 3 this season, 40% last season.
For what though? Look man, we need "The Guy" here and Porter Jr may or may not be that guy but his mental issues leave a whole bunch of question marks. These next two drafts have really big talent. Lets worry about shooters later or just draft young guys who are shooters. Right now our best asset is Nwaba.
Brooks anyone? I mean I skimmed through this thread and no one mention him.. He's cheap, young, ours, and deadly at the.. problem is we don't have the roster spot.. Man they need to get rid of these vets ,dipo and brown and tucker won't be here next yr and wall shpuls not start over porter I told all of u last week that we shud buy out wall.. hope more of u see why I said that.. Porter should start now even when wall comes back otherwise he should go to a contender when his rookie deal is up I mean he's already better than wall..that's clear just after his second game..if we bench porter cuz we don't want to hurt walls feelings then that's on Silas and porter deserves better I still have my doubts bout stone and Silas.. we need to play the young guys yet they keep throwing out ego dipo wall and even tucker ..it took Tucker quitting for this team to play Martin and Patton more..and we just saw Martin hit a double double.. U watch when dipo and ego and wall come back ..porter and or Martin will rot on the bench cuz Silas is to weak to bench vets for some weird reason
this organization doesn’t need to do anything right now except lose people talking about Silas not being good, the team not having shooters, etc...that is all irrelevant at the moment we are tanking
Yes I've mentioned this often. You don't have to be great on defense to be in the NBA. Used Cedi Osman as an example: average defensive FG% on perimeter but better than some stars like Giannis and Cedi scored average defensive FG% near the rim, but better than some players like Draymond Green. Now I saw a report either Lakers or Warriors pursuing Cedi Osman hard before the NBA deadline. Believe Warriors are the named team. I'm hoping the Rockets trade something to the Warriors and we pry Justinian Jessup from them. Foreign player rights who shoots lights out.
A very interesting and informative post . You know me, I look at talent more than stats. I admit it's a weakness of mine. I feel hard work and effort can make players more effective. I've never heard of Jessup. I hope he won't turn out to be another Llull if he ends up with the Rockets.
And I value your opinion highly. It really depends on the makeup of the team. We would be great if everyone on the court was a lockdown defender, but such is not the case. Ingles get play because defensive player of the year candidate has his back time and time again protecting the rim as 2nd or 3rd tier defender, in Gobert. I saw Ariza flat out exhausted come playoff time because not only was he defending top line SF's in the league night in and night out; but also covering for Harden and Beverley lapses or risk taking night in and night out. Right now the Nets (w/D'Antoni as assistant coach) thinking out score everyone. Where did we see that mindset last season? Instead of just Harden, it will be attempted by Harden/Durant/Irving now. If/when Harden gets doubled at mid court, Durant/Irving will try to do what Westbrook could not.... score. Nice blend of scorers and defenders can win the championship; but the scorers need to defend some and the non scorers need to score some. The Tony Allen and Andre Roberson become liabilities within the game at playoff time if they only defend. If a player only scores, a team can still win the championship. Warriors have been hiding Steph Curry from interior defense for years and still have won some rings.
Was just thinking this. Having creators like Wall and KPJ is useless unless you have shooters and roll men. Wood can roll, but we have no shooters. Crazy how Gordon, McLemore, House, and Tucker just dropped off.
That's why we need the 1st round pick and cap room in the off season.Gordon was struggling at times, but he's the only one who hasn't dropped off. Unfortunately, he's injured again just at the trade deadline.
