This report was an obvious public relations smokescreen to divert attention from the fact that Officer Darren Wilson was cleared by the DOJ in the Michael Brown matter. This is Eric Holder's way of trying to manage an unruly, emotional crowd of people in Ferguson. A few Ferguson police department officials sending racist emails does not incriminate the entire department, nor does it excuse the high crime rate of blacks in Ferguson. The Ferguson police department has a very challenging job, and members of their force put themselves in harm's way on a daily basis. Unfortunately, it is the actions of many black citizens of Ferguson which endangers these officers' lives.

National politicians should not be inserting themselves in local police matters for political gain. That's what is happening here. There is an ongoing struggle in politics today for more government entitlements, more urban assistance, and higher taxes/redistribution of income. Stories like Ferguson and the people of Ferguson are used -- yes used -- by this Administration to advance these causes. It creates sympathy for the lower classes and for blacks specifically which is then parlayed into support for various policies. It's political science at work. The Democrats have feigned interest in these types of causes for years, despite privately bemoaning the fact that they must lay in bed with these types of crowds (looters, high crime rate groups, protesters, etc). Joe Biden is racist to his core (calling Obama a clean African-American candidate), yet has no problem going to a black church and pandering. Politics is dirty and you can't win without a completely hollow moral core.

Exactly, these people should quite honestly be jailed for comparing our venerable First Lady to some random African woman. It's almost as bad as calling random Asian guys Jeremy Lin, which never happens, ever.

It's amazing how easily manipulated many in this country are. Just look at all the people whipped into a frenzy over this. It was determined that Officer Wilson should not face charges -- and that was after a THOROUGH investigation by the DOJ. Falsehoods such as Brown was shot in the back and his hands were up as he was brutally murdered by a racist white cop went viral throughout America and violence, rioting, looting ensued, including the 2 brave NYPD officers murdered in cold blood by a man who was no question influenced by the perceived injustice he saw in the Mike Brown case (which of course were all lies spread by race hustlers).

Now in an effort to calm the masses, the DOJ surfaces some racist emails from the Ferguson PD, the day before they exonerate Officer Wilson, and just a few days prior to the Selma 50th anniversary. LOL give me a break. You could find racist quotes in many black barbershops or other places in America if you spent any time looking for it.

It's hilarious to me how easy some of you folks are manipulated. Think for yourselves...

Agreed completely, the mindless looters, vandals, and arsonists of Furguson are the real heroes.

They sure are. If it wasn't for people going out in the street to protest and riot then none of the issues in the way we are ruled would ever change or improve.

What about the officers and citizen in Nevada ? Why have you been ignoring my questions to you on whether or not you blame those deaths on the tea party and libertarian movements?

You're arguing that overt racism in any police department is OK because there's at least 1 non-white racist in any city. Please, never change.

Nope. No racism is OK. To only highlight it in Ferguson after protesters resorted to violence and looting, in addition to influencing the killer of the two NYPD officers, is shameful. It sends the message that violent riots, robbery and murder is a valid means to an end.

and the fact that it was released one day before Officer Wilson was cleared, and a few days in front of the Selma 50th anniversary...hmmm

So you advocate a DOJ investigation in all police departments, starting now.

So you advocate violent riots, looting and killer cops? Is that your point?

So you are saying it's ok for a police department to intentionally target blacks even though they know they are less likely to be carrying anything illegal than other whites?

I am not sure I agree with your conclusion here. Just because an officer was shot by a black person doesn't mean police departments now have a right to discriminate against blacks.

Objection! Assumes facts not in evidence. Please find a post where I applaud the looting and rioting.

Literally every allegation by the protestors Ferguson was proven incorrect by forensic evidence and the DOJ's investigation. Michael Brown wasn't shot in the back. His hands were not in the air. Michael Brown was not running away. Officer Wilson did not grab him from the car. Michael Brown did stop and turn towards Officer Wilson and Michael Brown did pose a physical threat to Officer Wilson. Literally everything being protested by the rioters and looters was false! Thousands of hours of media coverage was covering a pack of lies.

What a complete and total waste of public resources to have to deal with these factually inaccurate people. There should be some price to pay by CNN, MSNBC and the protestors for torching the city of Ferguson and falsely accusing Officer Wilson of racism and wrongdoing. After this incident, after Trayvon Martin, and after so many other similar situations, there simply is no way to take future protests seriously. Once again our justice system triumphs over mob rule. Civilized wins the days over uncivilized. Knowledge wins the day over ignorance.

If you think the protests were only about Brown then you should have spent more time listening to interviews with protesters and less time listening to what the mainstream media had to say about it. Brown's shooting was the impetus, but the movement his death sparked was about a lot more. Namely the systematic discrimination in the DOJ report which exists in Ferguson, as well as much of the rest of the country.
