I can tell you exactly when it ends. When we start scoring runs. When Osawlt doesn't give up a 3 run homer late in the game after a shutout, then tell the press at that point he knew he had lost the game. Because of 3 freakin runs!!! Lee wasn't a great addition. He was an obvious addition of need. However, we still have a horrible offense. Adding just one guy wasn't gonna make all our problems disapear. It will stop when we're like the Astros teams of the late 90's who had great offenses opposing pitchers feared. Our offenseive at least needs to be on par with the Cardinals and Cubs to have a shot at the division. They both have a couple decent pitchers as well. Yes, we have Roy, but i recall the Cards having a certain Cy Young winner and the Cubs having Zambrono. Both also have an important poistion called the closer you may of heard of. The days of our awesome starting pitching or even bullpen who could no hit the Yankees are well over. We can only hope on the longshot that both our 2 young guns become immediate studs, which is highly unlikely at this level. We're only lucky that Prior and Wood have had their problems or we would never even have a chance at even the wild card. Possibly never even have going to the World Series a couple years ago because of that offense which is basically still in place. That same offense that lost us the World Series because we couldn't even score a run when guys like Backe threw the game of their life on the biggest stage in the baseball world. Just because we never bothered fixing the lineup after that is no reason not to fix things now. Care to disagree? Because i don't agree with you that we already have enough. Neither do the standings.
