Nah, you know what? I'm not even going to bother. We've all got horses and we've all got agents hawking them. The only idiots are the people who think theirs is more trustworthy than the others.

Well, I was mostly just thiking that a documentary made to "expose" Fox News is stupid. The MRC and FAIR both seem to at least have a purpose.

In any event, people should get their news from all over the bias spectrum. Everything is biased one way or another, might as well get variety. Hell, I watch TBN's news segments. Agreed about people who only think "their" news is "truth" and only use one source. Mango would approve.

Oski2005, Major and Rocketman95 are somewhat left of center, so Trader_Jorge is handling the conservative viewpoint for <a HREF="http://www.politicalbrew.com">Political Brew</a>?

I think not! The Trader_Jorge brand shall not be diluted in such a vile manner! Does Randy Johnson agree to pitch for a Little League team? Does Albert Einstein agree to substitute teach for a 9th grade physics course? Does Donald Trump agree to be the treasurer of the Rotary club? Do you see Tracy McGrady suiting up for the Yakima Sun Kings?

Oski, Major, Rocketman95, I know that you put Mango up to the task of inviting me to join your team. I decline your offer.

The BBC? You've got to be kidding me. We had a lengthy thread a while back on what a liberal propaganda machine the BBC is.

I don't know anything about CBC. Canada? Pfft, how insignificant can you get?

i may be wrong but I don't think Oski is involved in that venture. In the original post I think Rm95 was addressing Oski about his and Major's new site but the way it was written it looked like he was including him as part of the group.

I went back and reread the original post and it looks like you are correct. A missing <b>ENTER</b> seems to have caused me to misread it.

    Trader_Jorge,

They didn't put me up to it. I try to stay out of <i>alliances</i> in this Forum and prefer it that way.

Most American news programs are absolutely hilarious. I feel kind of sorry for people who take that tripe seriously.

Back on topic here, FoxNews just SLAMMED this ridiculous "documentary" as being misleading. Fox documented how the creator selectively pruned words and quotes out of context and did not show the liberal perspective which followed. This 'documentary' is just as ridiculous and partisan as Michael Moore's Bush-hate film.

The Democrats will be using this film for fundraising, much in the same fashion as they use Whoopi Goldberg's hate-filled rhetoric in which she likens the President of the United States to female genitalia.... and the liberals are now trying to claim they are the party of 'family values'? You must be joking. Supporting gay marriage, calling our President a thug and a killer, destroying jobs by raising the minimum wage and hiking taxes, severely weakening our national defense by turning over decision-making to the French and UN, and supporting the murder of millions of babies. This is family values? Typical liberal filth...

Oski2005 is not involved in this venture, but I could see why you thought that Mango. The two main contributors are recent graduates of the LBJ School at UT, one a raging liberal and the other a staunch conservative, and both are extremely intelligent, which is why I'm sticking to writing semi-funny movie reviews. :)

    1. there is no "liberal" party

    2. as you yourself love to point out, the Democrats don't support gay marriage but Nader does.

but why is it you consider gay marriage to be anti-'family values' anyway? love, commitment and fidelity seem to me to be admirable values, so why is it different when those things occur between persons of the same gender insted of two persons of opposite genders?

Why would anyone believe that Fox "News" would be critical of itself? It's like expecting an Key Lay to admit wrong doing.

I mean, Fox is already seen as a biased organization for the right-wing movement. Which reeks propaganda and "UNBLANCED" reporting. Fox is losing credibility.

So, why belive anything Fox says about a film, group or person that is being critical of just THEM, not other news outlets?

http://www.outfoxed.org/Clips.php <---here are some interviews. Some work in Real Audio some in QT some in WMP. If one doesn't work, check the other.

Family generally, and widely, means a set of parents (one male, one female) with a child /or children (as a result of mating).

Heterosexuals (opposite genders) can procreate, and have children, i.e. have a "family."

Homosexuals (same gender) do not reproduce, they recruit. Dogs, cats, or other pets are not considered "family" per se in definite terms, however sentimentally they may be.

Why is this so difficult to see? (in response to T_J's statement... as to why he's upset)

BTW- CNN is extremely biased.... I was in the hospital the other morning for a procedure (not mine, a family member's) and they had CNN on. From 6 AM CST t0 nearly 9 AM there was only one, count it, 1 - o-n-e story on other than the John Edwards announcement... "Coming up soon, at 9 AM EST.... John Kerry to name John Edwards... blah, blah.... Our next analyst is with us to discuss it....blah, blah."

I was disgusted that I could not see what else was happening in the rest of the 6 billion person occupied world. Surely there must have been some other news, shoot, even WEATHER, to go to!

Sure Fox is biased.... but don't even try to say CNN, or ABC, or MSNBC ain't either.

Fox just has the *cough*cahonies*cough* to have a middle-to-conservative slant.

    Somebody has to.

You dislike it because you keep hearing about the democratic party who is closing in on the DNC soon? Ok, fine...But that sounds more like an irritant.

But any "news" organization that is openly friendly to any GOVERNMENT, is dangerous. Lets hope you change the channel once I while. Even then, you might not believe anything negative about a party you support.

"Fair" enheit? No, that's something fox would call it...

Did anybody ever claim Fahrenheit was a news source, or made from a neutral point of view?

At worst its a counterpart to fox news; but of the two one pretends to be impartial journalism (fair and balanced), one is quite clearly intended to be a polemic.

Here's link to some of the Fox memos-

    http://www.wonkette.com/archives/fox-news-memos-the-whole-batch-017613.php

This is one of the more egregious to my thinking.

    From: John Moody
    Date: 4/4/2004

MONDAY UPDATE: Into Fallujah: It's called Operation Vigilant Resolve and it began Monday morning (NY time) with the US and Iraqi military surrounding Fallujah. We will cover this hour by hour today, explaining repeatedly why it is happening. It won't be long before some people start to decry the use of "excessive force." We won't be among that group.

The continuing carnage in Iraq -- mostly the deaths of seven US troops in Sadr City -- is leaving the American military little choice but to punish perpetrators. When this happens, we should be ready to put in context the events that led to it. More than 600 US military dead, attacks on the UN headquarters last year, assassination of Irai officials who work with the coalition, the deaths of Spanish troops last fall, the outrage in Fallujah: whatever happens, it is richly deserved.

"whatever happens, it is richly deserved"

Many civilians were killed in Fallujah. They are the "whatever happens" and however you might feel about the Iraq war, I don't think they deserved it.
