Guys, I have another theory In the last couple of embarrassing losses, the Rockets looked pretty listless, such as that last loss to Utah. Like they didn't even want to be there: The Jazz lost starting centre Rudy Gobert to an ejection at the 9:13 mark of the first quarter and received only six points from Donovan Mitchell yet coasted to victory against the listless Rockets, leading by as many as 37 points. https://www.straitstimes.com/sport/...favors-utah-jazz-rout-reeling-houston-rockets They overcompensated and started listing the ship - this got us unrighted. Seems like everything is back to even keel now though.
Even healthy, we are not good enough as currently constructed to win a title. We're not nearly as good as last season. So major changes are on the way between now and the deadline. Book that.
That's saying nothing, this team needs to at least vy for Zion or a young talent. If they can trade for one, also ok. Major changes that can at least compete for several seasons, other than for 1-2 seasons and be declining.
I don’t understand why we talk about the GSW “depth”. They don’t have a bench either, just a all-time great top 5 assuming a healthy Cousins. Are we considering Livingston, a washed up Iggy, and Jerekbo great depth? If Nene, Green, House, and Brandon Knight are balling come playoffs I would take our bench over theirs.
i can't consider ship righted when we can't win consecutive games without Harden dropping silly numbers.
Iggy plays really well in the playoffs. He did even last year. He gets key steals 3s etc. When you have 5 all stars do you really need a bench.
This year, it has become really difficult to win on the road. Every team is pretty good. Jazz is beating everybody 30 points in SLC.
Are we going to ignore Capela's contribution of 5 points? We won by 5 points, for goodness sake! If not for him, Harden's monster game would likely have been wasted.
I don't think we have to worry about Capella who brings it most nights. What's more troubling is CP consistently putting in 3-10 every night. I didn't think we would have to worry about that diminishing return until next year but this is discouraging ****.
