Come on. I agree with that partly.
Being Chinese has alot to do with one's personality..... Confucianism taught people to be modest and hard working
Yao happens to be on top of everyone's game doing that.

I can live with Lebron's decisions as I can live with Howard's decision.

Howard is a nice guy in my books..... I don't know how that rubbed you the wrong way.

And probably forever. It's extremely hard to imagine Blake Griffin ever becomes the defensive presence Dwight is. It's not like Dwight is Deke or Hakeem, but he gets his fair share of blocks and clogs the lane, and is a much better defensive rebounder.

Blake should still get better, but he won't have quantum leap's in improvement as he did 2 years in college and the 1 year injured.

He certainly is a more capable offensive player, though at this point just barely.

A straight up trade of Howard for Blake makes the Clippers serious championship contenders for a couple of years. Right now, they're maybe championship contenders... if they're lucky. This is because defense matters, and the playoffs inevitable bog down to half-court basketball. With CP3, Billups, Caron, Dwight you'd have one hell of a veteran, experienced, poised defensive team, capable of running and playing solid half court basketball

I understand from pure marketing and excitement perspective why the Clippers wouldn't want to do this, but as a fan, I'd rather have championship potential right now (and for the next few years), then hope to have it 3-5 years down the road...

I don't understand why the Knicks are not on his list. I assumed it was because the Knicks didn't have any assets they were willing to give up that Orlando would take. But, that didn't stop the Clips from making the list.

Because they don't have a point guard that is expert at playing PnR.

    - i also have the same idea as a previous poster
    - trade what they want for dwight
    - convince him that we should pair him and dwill here in houston
    - if he declines we just sign him to a bigmax and trade him for pau and bynum or lopez and picks

Well played, I like your thinking. Except if we take back Hedo and Nelson, we don't have the cap space to sign Deron. So we don't have the leverage to get NJ to trade us Deron. Remember that the Knicks had to have summer cap space available to get Denver to trade Melo to them. The threat was trade him now, or we will just sign him in the summer. We would not have that threat. That makes it advantage NJ, because otherwise, we simply become the Orlando Magic, sans Ryan Anderson.

However, if we swap just Lowry, Martin and Dally for Howard, then we have the cap space to sign Deron. Orlando doesn't need Scola, anyway, with Ryan Anderson playing at an all star level, and Big Baby coming off the bench. Those three players are a better deal for Orlando than Bynum straight up, so we still have the best package if we include Lowry. Orlando can then dump Nelson to the Lakers for the Odom trade exception, as they really need a point guard.

[rquoter]Howard denied that he had added the Clippers to his list Tuesday, via the Orlando Sentinel. SheridanHoops.com responded to the report by indicating that the Clippers are on his list but that due to the CBA, he woul be unable to join the Clippers until later this summer:

The key word in that question is “now.”

Because right now, he wants to play for the New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks or Los Angeles Lakers — and the Lakers are a distant third on that list. The Clippers would be something to consider if circumstances over the next several months make those first three destinations unattainable, and as I reported in my story on the Howard-Clippers possibility, it would only happen next summer through a sign-and-trade (a detail too many people are overlooking).
