He's a defensive terror with attitude problems, and an injury history. He is a game-changer though. A Bogut/Dalambert platoon would be a lesson in pain for all Rockets' opponents. But the truth is, if the Bucks do decide to part ways with Bogut, it will likely be for a franchise player. I just don't see how the Rockets have the "assets" to get a deal done there.

Chase+Hill+Morris for Delfino, Ilyasova and Sanders.

*sigh* He's not injury prone! He had a freak accident. Remember how Kevin Martin was labeled injury prone? He hasn't had an injury since joining the Rockets, so is he still injury prone?

I'd definitely talk to the Bucks about Bogut. Any attitude problems he's had have been directly tied in to being stuck on a sad sack franchise with crummy teammates in a fractured locker room.

I'd like to bring him in, but I don't think I'd call him a top 3 center. Top 5, yes. Not franchise changing but solid, reliable, and capable.

He's a willing passer out of the post, he's rock solid defending the paint either one-on-one or as help. He's a little overrated on offense, everyone knows he's not a big scorer...but he's inefficient as well for a big. Post injury, he's been a 1.1 pps guy, and that's dreadful for a 7 foot true center.

    For comparison:
Howard's obviously uber-elite (1.6 pps career, hitting an ungodly 1.8 a couple years ago)
Tyson Chandler has really learned how to make the most of his touches at a career 1.5 and an astounding 1.8 the last 3 seasons.
Marc Gasol and Andrew Bynum are a very good 1.4
    Greg Monroe is 1.3
Al Jefferson and Roy Hibbert are an iffy 1.2

*Rule of thumb - you want to be at least 1.3, and 1.5+ is top tier. Volume Shooter territory is below 1.2

Bogut scares me, he was having a career year when he broke his wrist and hasn't looked comfortable since.
Last year I was willing to write off as a recovery year but this year he has been even worse.

If you trade for him at this point its based purely on potential...and I wouldn't sell the farm. If they were high on Hill I would center the deal around him and fillers...but I would even be reluctant to entertain losing PatPat for him at this point...

we are getting better production out of Dalembert right now for half the price

Be interesting but what could we give?

Be a nice change if we could keep Sammy and get bogut.

I would say anyone but lowry is one the table. Maybe a Martin/Flynn/Hill Budinger (draft pick) would work?

Prob is they have no cap room so wed have to take back salary in any deal. They prob will want to move stephen jackson too and that will kill our cap space for next year.

I would swap Martin for Scola and Bud for Lee.

maybe but might be better to move like flyn and bud or hill and bud and save the draft pick to make a run at a d will or howard.

We could take bogut scola dragic (draft pick) for howard and then have

    Lowry/flynn
    Lee
    Parsons
    Patterson
    Howard/ Sammy D

then we could prob trade lowry straight up for d will.

Not sure we want to do that.

Martin is too much for Bogut. Ditto for the NY pick.

    They would presumably want.
The Bucks are one of those teams who would supposedly want to get younger because those guys have cheaper contracts.

The fact that this guy is always injured is a permanent no no. Haven't you guys as Rockets fans sick of having an injured 5? Where do the memories go?
