I nearly have an aneurysm whenever Luther is in the game. I love it -- Tmac pulls her stunts this year, which leads to Wafer's arrival, which leads to no more Luther Head. It's almost worth it.

But then again, couldn't Adelman have just glued his butt to the bench or Morey trade him for some extra medical tape?

Great question - why don't you find the answer to it instead of jumping to conclusions though.

Uh, wasn't posting in the thread a response to him? I mean you quoted him and everything.

You mean idiots like the doctors who told him he needed to strengthen the knee....right?

I know the answer, people just don't like to hear that their hero was a lazy slacking cuss.

We went to the Lottery and got Steve Francis from the Griz.
we took time to develop him.

Tmac was already a finished product, a "Kobe" equivalent, a scoring champion.

So we thought, put Tmac and Yao together and we get "Kobe and Shaq" !
Even Magic Johnson anointed them on TNT after winning 2 against Dallas.

You see the difference in situation, we didn't know how good Steve could be, its a risk getting a rookie and developing him.

We got the flashy Corvette cause we thought it could drive us to a championship fast. but little did we know that it was a rough terrain road and sports cars don't do well.

Oh thats right, you think that 20 or 30 of our 82 regular season games should be used for rehab. He dind't do the work in the off-season, so should have been sent home to get into shape as soon as it was evident.

Also read what you quoted again. I did not say I wouldn't respond, but that I wouldn't get involved in a discussion about Tracy with an idiot who wants to insult players.

    Rockets_fanatic,

I can not speak for anyone else, but criticism of a player is part of being a fan to some people.

I understand some people are bothered by that, I get that. Personally, I think some people vent, I know I do.....it is like going to a bar and talking ball, you sit down and just talk, sometimes you talk about things that bug you....that is what is going on with Tmac.

His drama and antics have run their course with a lot of people, me included.....I am tired of him saying one thing and then his actions are totally different.

Does that mean I won't cheer for him? Of course not....as long as he wears the colors he will get my cheer....but there are some things that as a fan I find adhorent....and quitting on your teamates is one of them.

Tmac quit....and that is a wound that take a long time to heal.

When he gets back on the floor and plays hard.....he will probably be forgiven.....for the most part.

What I don't get is how criticism means hate to some people. I've read all out hate and criticism on here but I can easily distinguish one from another.

Good sir, dare you not forget that it even took the great Hakeem Olajuwon about ten years to win a championship.
    <br>
It took Drexler even longer than that + Hakeem

Don't forget these guys are HOF players among the 50 greatest EVER!
So, let's not by too quick to crucify McGrady just yet

And, there's a difference between venting and mindless bashing/insulting

he has struggled mightily this yr and should earn his teammates' respect back.

but after how he carried the team the past 4 years, it shouldn't take much to earn the team's trust back. they all know tracy's capability. they all know what tracy can do.

they dont' have to like tracy. as long as tracy does his thing and help the team get the Ws, all is well.

No one wants to be told their hero is not who they thought they were.

That is why I put out the Hater versus Apologist.....sure there are some that are true haters, and others that are true apologists, but the vast majority are just in the middle with an opinion.

It is when discussions of that opinion get heated that you get labels.....

Personally, I hope Tmac comes back and plays like a man on fire.....it will be good for the Rockets......and some people will point fingers and yell at the top of their lungs "See, he was INJURED"...that is fine....it won't change a thing....but most of us just care that the team gets better....PERIOD.

our best role player in the playoffs the past 4 years has been mike james in 04-05.

and did tracy and mike like each other? a big HELL NO. did that affect how they play on the court? a big HELL NO.

as long as tracy comes back and dominates games, nobody is gonna question him b/c they know how good he is.

if he comes back sucking, then well, time for a trade or sit him down.

Don't forget it was a simple 1 on 1 challenge for charity, and in the end I offered to front the entire donation. So, it's not like I was trying to take his car or something...
