It's pretty simple. NYC has no leverage here due to the trade clause and if Melo says he wants the go to Houston, the longer the wait the worse it gets for Knicks.

You guys seems to think that NYK has no choice but to take back trash. If the reports are true they would rather let Melo expire and enjoy the cap space. They're not taking back Anderson and I don't blame them.
if he stays then we shouldn't want him anyway. I remain optimistic that he is in the twilight of his career, feels his biological clock ticking, and wants to compete for a championship. Am I wrong? I very well might be. only time will tell
