Desperate. Sheed was out of gas with the C's a couple years back.

I'm really thinking that the lakers can get a pg for gasol; maybe not the pg that they want. Jose' Caldron, maybe?

Caracter was recently waived. Murphy and McBob aren't exactly known for playing defense.

I think people are forgetting: big is always more valuable than a small. The raptors aren't going anywhere.

Bargs & Gasol would be a tandem.

honestly you guys think they are going to land Howard or Williams or both? I contend they are looking more along the lines of Calderon or Sessions. is trading Gasol really that good of an idea?

    I can't believe he's only 37 - seems like he's about 45.

    Sheed, McRoberts, Troy Murphy.

Even with Dwight Howard, thats a pretty weak front court support cast.

Uh how's that any better than OKC, or even the current Lakers team? Dwight Howard 's better than Gasol or Bynum but I don't think he can equal the production of two of them.

I guess I'll try to do this (with little help from trade machine.

The Lakers trade Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol to the Magic for Dwight Howard, Ryan Anderson, and Hedo Turkoglu (or Jameer Nelson). That's about the fairest and best deal for both sides.

Moreover, the Lakers, then can make a run a Jose Calderon or Ramon Sessions.

In offseason, if they still have Hedo Turkoglu, then the Lakers can use the amnesty clause on him.

    No, they can't amnesty Hedo.

I did bring up this trade before with the Lakers getting both Anderson and Jameer to go along with Dwight and Hedo. If they could do it, it makes them the premier team. And Orlando gets to clear out a ton of cap. This is the deal I would do if I was Orlando, then dangle Pau with QRich, JRich, Duhon attached for other deals.

Lakers are going to sign Gilbert Arenas anyways (so I've heard), so their PG rotation should be set.
