Marion makes them way better than they were last week. That said, the Marion that Mark Cuban just overpaid for won't be the Marion of a few years ago. And don't forget that his signing makes the Mavs a very old team as all of their principal players are on the wrong side of 30. It's just another in a continuing series of short-sighted and dumb moves by the Mav front office. For what it's worth: the response up here to the trade has been much less than enthusiastic. I just don't see it vaulting them past the Spurs or LA as this is more like Cuban getting another recliner to place on the deck of the good ship Mavericks.
