So assuming he saved around 200K of that 7M, can't he just pay to go to any school that he wants? If you have money, you can ALWAYS go to college somewhere. However, I bet the majority of the college graduates on this board have yet to sniff $1M. Turning down millions of dollars (guarenteed) is typically seen as a dumb move in any profession.

wow....that...hurts... his career is not necessarily over though. remember willis mcgahee tore all those ligaments in that national championship game and has managed to recover and become a good nfl running back, so theres still hope for shaun. but damn...
That is a nasty injury. I don't wish that on anyone. It could be career ending for him which is a sad thing to have happen to any athlete. I wish him well.
the thread title is sort of incorrect, the dude dislocated his whole knee...... are they operating to fix his knee all in one operation????
yeah, i was thinking the same thing. looks like he slipped a little through a wet spot then stopped abruptly on dry court and it buckled. then again, i've barely watched that video once.
if you saw Dirks ankle bend at a right angle earlier this year.. then you know his knee would have just bounced back in place. Dirk doesn't deserve it.. but Cuban sure does.
The NBA may have lost a significant part of its future if Shaun and Tony Allen can't recover from their gruesome injuries this season. Man, this sucks.
I was thinking about that too. I used to play pick-up games 8-10xs/mo in the last 5 yrs. I have had a broken finger,broken/bruised knuckle, 2 degree ankle sprain, tweaked ankles, sore back/bruise and NO knee injuries except for minor knee to knee bumps. I gained 6lbs after the ankle deal, God knows with a knee injury I could be in the Barkleyosphere regarding weight. Now I only play 3 or 4 times a month to help reduce injuries...I may bring that down to twice a month The weird thing was that their was hardly(or none at all) any contact.
How in the world did that happen? All he did was jump and land.... jump and land. Didn't step on anyone, wasn't pushed, no collision, just jump and land. Unbelievable... forget playing ball. I'm getting a wheelchair right now. I ain't walking ever again.
Well, he didn't tear his LCL, or his meniscus. Or his patellar tendon. Or any of the muscles crossing the joint.
