Ugh....I feel so badly for the poor guy. Looks like his career is done. He looked so promising, too. He pretty much royally f'ed up his entire knee -- tore up everything. On a freak dunk. I wish I hadn't watched that replay now...makes me sick inside just thinking about it.

Good thing he 's got a Duke degree from the scholarship Coach K gave him.

...oh wait he went straight to the NBA from highschool. Let's hope he didn't blow his 7mil ala Pippen.

Wow I feel bad for this guy.

I felt bad for him when T-Mac showed him up behind the back 2 years ago and I feel bad for him now.

ACL, MCL, PCL, and something else starting with an M in all one go???

Looks like he'll be out a LONG time.

I feel for him, hope he can come back and play again, he was promising too.

How scary is that? To know you can do that at any one time? How many people have gone out this year with FREAK knee twists like that? Nenad? That Celtics guy? Livingston now...every time I see one of these I thank the basketball Gods it wasn't like that for Yao.

"He had an MRI exam which revealed tears in the anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament and lateral meniscus. He also dislocated his patella, in addition to the previously diagnosed dislocation of his tibia-femoral."

I don't know what all that means, except that it must have been... painful.

damn i've never heard of so much stuff being f'd up at one time. i don't see how there can be anything left to tear.

but i don't know why people are saying his career is over. i think willis mcgahee tore the big 3 like livingston when he got his knee exploded in the national title game and he's playing in the nfl, which is obviously much more physical and where he chances a hit to the knee on any given play. with medical science like it is today, they'll sew him up, do some serious rehabbing, and he'll be back one day. maybe a long time out and he may never be the same, but it won't end his career unless he just doesn't feel like doing the rehab or something.

What's bad for the Rockets is that another team is now in the hunt for a PG.

The LA Times says that "he is not expected to begin any basketball-related training for at least one year after the surgery."

He's toast until the end of the '08 season at the earliest, and his value around the league will probably be in the crapper in the '09 season when his contract is up. His career won't be over, but all that 'he's the next Magic' hype is. How much is fair market value for an inconsistent 22-year old with busted knees who never averaged 10 PPG, couldn't beat out Sam I Am for the starting spot this year, and only played 145 games in three seasons? Plus, this is all assuming he doesn't get attacked his first game back by a stray mountain lion which bites off one of his limbs.

I feel bad for Clips fans, it seems like their team has one good year every decade or so and then immediately plunges back to the bottom. But that's what happens when you're the Clippers.

The Unhappy triad, it sounds like he had.

Exactly why I said they should look at the MRI before making the diagnosis. You could basically tell from the angle of his leg that ligaments were torn. Your leg won't bend like that just from a dislocated kneecap. Horrible smoke screen by the Clipps.

It's too bad for Livingston. He seemed like a good kid.

Oh my lord, that looked terrible! I feel horrible for Livingston. I sure hope he can recover from this completely, resume his career and fulfill his potential. Here's hoping ya beat the odds kid.

Man, I wouldn't wish that upon anyone, Flopwitzki included. That looks like a career threatening/ending injury. Not even Nowinski deserves a fate that harsh...

This sucks. I would be really pissed and depressed if i were him. A year without basketball.

The good thing is that he's lucky hes really young. By the time he starts rehab he'll only be 22 years old.

This year has been filled with so many injuries.
