Sharon Angle StupidiTea: tells Hispanic students they look Asian

At the same time do you think Harry Reid meant his lil quote about Obama not speaking with a "negro accent" was meant to be blown all out of proportion like what the media did here?

Overall I agree this isn't a big issue and it doesn't change my opinion of Angle all that much but I don't think you can cry about media exploiting a gaffe when you also use a gaffe done by her opponent to bolster your position against Reid.

 

umm did i say it was blown out of proportion by the media? I was only trying to point out the hypocrisy of people blasting Angle for her lil quote. That was my whole intent of posting Reids quotes so thanks for pointing that out again.

But if you really want to compare quotes. The quote by Reid on Obama being a light skinned black guy who doesn't talk like a negro is far more extreme and offensive than Angles about Hispanics possibly looking like Asians.

Well that's just my two cents.
Reid is known to be a liar, corrupt, dirty, scumbag piece of crap and Angle doesn't seem to be much better. Career politicians usually can't be trusted.

 

um angle has plenty of "lil quotes" including repeatedly offering the second amendment as a solution to over extention of the federal gov't

 

right.. she's a bit insane and Reid is still a douche...

 

I choose the douche, although I'd rather vote "None of the Above".

Your statement was that you thought Sharron Angle didn't mean for that quote to be blown out of proportion by the media. In the same vein don't you expect that Reid would think the same way?

Also by the same standard doesn't this make you rather hypocritical since you are are blasting Reid for his lil quote. As other poster's have noted Angle has many other quotes too.

That is a subjective. I think both were stupid but I don't think it was Reid's intention to offend, I would chalk it up to ignorance, and I don't think Angle's quote was meant to offend either yet they both have produced a negative reactions.

I agree it would be a tough call.. especially her view/comments about religion and separation of church and state. That might be the case where I just couldn't vote for either candidate. Well anyways it looks like Reid is going to come back and win that election based on the polls today.

Oh well I'm out here in Cali so I'll just focus on Boxer vs Fiorina which seems to be a dead even race now.
Not a fan of the failed ex HP CEO but at least she seems to be pretty logical from a business standpoint and she is not as negative and evil as "address me as senator Boxer".

I think the more important point is that she's trying to say that her local campaign ads are not anti-latino b/c you can't tell what the people in the ads are hispanic. That's such a bs answer. Her silly statements are trumping the fact that's she's trying hold on to some latino votes when her ads directly appeal to immigrant paranoia.

BTW, all the ads here in Vegas are terrible. Angle calls Reid a friend to sex offenders and vice versa. I'm sure both candidates are trying real hard to promote sex offender rights.

I'm Hispanic but many people think I'm either Asian or white because I have very light skin. It's no big deal to me.
