Just because SAR wants to leave the Grizzlies, does NOT mean that they will take all of our trash in return. Think about it : Why do we want to unload Cato so bad ? NEWS UPDATE ... HE SUCKS !!!. I don't care how much perfume you put on him, every team in the league can smell that he's a turd. Trades like this only happen when you have a 6 yr. old playing in your Fantasy Basketball league. ------------------ women love me, records make me poo
well said, daglide. these people always talk about unloading the end of our bench and some mid 1st round draft picks for an almost superstar. and crash, geez, about kobe.....i was picking any good player and saying he's coming to houston...kinda like what ur doing idiot. ------------------
Sorry we're not as smart as you Rocketkid, but the reason people think that SAR could come here was because apparently the Rockets almost had a deal done for him a few months ago. I don't agree with some of the deals people are opposing, but you say it isn't possible, we need to stop dream, and Kobe is is coming is pretty lame considering there was a deal on the table for SAR recently. ------------------ See the three, be the three.
I like this lineup: Francis-Mooch Mobley-Walt Abdur Rahim-draft pick Taylor-Thomas Olajuwon-whoever ------------------ The Protrolls.com message boards! Protrolls.com! Home of Turn, Tweak, and all your demented favorites!
wow...im overwhelmed with stupidity in this forum. i cant believe you took my kobe to houston thing serious, i was being crazy like you fools thinking we can get sar by unloading our bench to do so. collier, cato, and walt and a draft pick for him?? riiiiiiight. i bet you half the GMs in this league dont know who collier is. if you're gonna talk, talk real. ------------------
I'll throw in some change too. I forgot where I heard this, but apparently SAR is looking forward to the move to Memphis and has backed off of a trade request in hopes of starting fresh in Memphis. His agent did say that if things stayed the same with the team as far as wins and losses they would ask for a trade during the season. It's not out of the question to get SAR since we almost got him earlier this season for relatively little. Don't count on it anytime before the season starts though... ------------------ Sell crazy someplace else. We're all stocked up here...
Whether or not we almost landed SAR a few months ago doesn't make offers such as Bull, Collier, Cato and draft picks any more realistic. ------------------ [This message has been edited by SteveFrancis3 (edited May 27, 2001).]
Look troll, there have been trade talks over the course of the last several months between Houston and Vancouver that included SAR coming to Houston. That alone merits this discussion. While I don't think it will ever happen it is still worth discussing. You saying Kobe is coming to Houston is nothing like me throwing out a scenario that could bring SAR to Houston since there has not been any talk between L.A. and anyone (especially Houston) about trading Kobe. But I don't expect you will be able to grasp that concept just yet, maybe someday when you grow up you will understand. ------------------
thank you stevefrancis3... it was quite obvious i was being sarcastic. these morons dont know the meaning of "sarcasm" i.e. crash5179, but at least they know the meaning of "dreaming" ------------------
I doubt SAR will end up as a Rocket, because the coaches reportedly backed out of the tenative deal because of SAR's lack of defensive play. Assuming that to be true, this thread is a great way to get a free post. ------------------

RocketKid, you have 20 posts. Please do not assume ANYTHING about the workings of this forum. Oh, and when you respond to this, please be sure to say how you've been reading this forum for two years and only now decided to post. ------------------ I always thought "With my talent, it's only a matter of time before I'm discovered". Now I think "With my talent, it's only a matter of time before I'm found out".
RocketTroll, The people on this board including myself know that you were being sarcastic. We also know that you were trying to use sarcasm to prove a point that discussing a trade for SAR is no more realistic than discussing a trade for Kobe. The problem with your thinking is that a trade for SAR was almost a done deal a few months ago. What was the main component of that deal? Hakeem Olajuwan aka CAP SPACE. Do you think they wanted the Dream because he was going to bring a championship to Vancouver? No. They wanted the 16mil in cap space that he would provide for this summer. All I have done is try and show some more ways that they could trade SAR and receive a substantial amount of cap space in return. If you want to blow holes in my trade suggestion try to add some substance as NIKEstrad did. Bring up the point that Bull is a free agent this year and it is too late to trade him. Tell me how there is no way that they would add another inflated salery at the 5 spot when they are already trying to get rid of the Big Country salery. Tell me how SAR is starting to warm up to Memphis and both he and the Grizz have put trade talks on hold to see if the team performs any better in the comming season. Just don't try and tell me that trading for SAR is no more realistic than trading for Kobe or some other front line tallent in the NBA because at that point you are showing your ignorance. ------------------
Even though my post count isn't as high as anyone that I would respect, I've been here since 99 reading and I have a couple of comments. First of all: The Reason why RocketKid, is a Kid, is because he is a FREAKING child. I always seem to find pleasure when I observe people like him and other newbies that have invaded this board recently trying to take out the big guns. I'm glad junior high is out now so that I can look forward to more of their posts . (oh ****, was that sarcasm?) Second: A trade for SAR regardless of how unlikely it is, still is feasable, not only because of trade talks and things that have been on the table before but because we owe a pick to Vancouver that they owe to Detroit that if itsn't delivered this year will go up to like what top 10 top 5? so....there in desperate need to unload persay a #18, then unload a lottery pick next year. Seems like reason enough right there since previously SAR was demanding a trade. Third: I've really started to enjoy ZRB's posts, he remind me of Thecabbage now ------------------ -jbond77
hmm, I guess I'm a FREAKING child too, eh? I kinda agree with the essence of what Rocketkid posted, but his rudeness and lame personal attacks detract from anything he wrote. Most of these supposed "deals" to get SAR are bunk. Also, I definitely agree with Nikestrad, I would be aiming to get Swift, not SAR, if possible. ------------------ snap crackle pop
look having 23532523325 posts like half of you do is nothing to be proud of, it just shows you have absolutely no life. from what i read before, some of you are married and have children. holy crap, that is so sad. spend some quality time with them instead of making a post of every damn thing that crosses your mind you losers. you guys act like a bunch of girls by getting offended by EVERY SINGLE LITTLE thing someone says. all i said was to "quit dreaming" and "get real" and "be realistic" and you started crying over that??? stop crying. no need to go tell mommy. get ur loser butts off the computer and do something else. "oh look at me i have 3252352355 posts, i'm God. nanny nanny boo boo." just shut up, you just make yourselves look like bigger no life losers when you proclaim that. [This message has been edited by RocketKid (edited May 27, 2001).]
Actually, you called them morons, and said you were amazed at the stupidity here. Then you proceed to call them no-life losers Not a way to make friends. In fact continuing in this belligerent manner is a good way to get banned. There are plenty of people who shoot down silly trade ideas w/o making everyone pissed off at them, perhaps you should learn from their example. However, SAR trade ideas are not silly. We've already had the Shareef Abdur-Rahim trade discussions and assorted rumblings, and the Rockets nearly pulled the trigger on an SAR trade, so this is not so far-fetched. If you have the patience, you can read down and see the trade that the Grizzlies apparently offered the Rockets : http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum3/HTML/011561.html ------------------ Charles Barkely on the Raptors defeating the Knicks in Round 1 :"I think it was the Lord. i shot down your silly ideas by saying "get real" and "be realistic" and "quit dreaming." you can see that crash was getting offended by that. why are so guys so offended when people call you morons or whatever??? it's not like i insulted your mother or punched you in the face and ripped your eyes out! life goes on, who cares about stupid words. [This message has been edited by RocketKid (edited May 27, 2001).]
Cause calling someone a moron is insulting. Insulting people ain't exactly a good method of conversation, cause it distracts from the discussion on hand - in this case being the feasability of acquiring Shareef Abdur-Rahim. Plus, too much insulting and this board becomes like the ESPN boards, and we do not want that to happen. Also, the rumors were not so silly and far-fetched as you suggested with the "Kobe-to-Houston" comment. There were already serious discussions concerning Abdur-Rahim. He mentioned them and you did not attempt to refute that point other than to insult him. ------------------ Charles Barkely on the Raptors defeating the Knicks in Round 1 :"I think it was the Lord. The Lord was with the Raptors. You know the Knicks like to talk so much about religion, but I think the Lord was a Raptor fan." [This message has been edited by Puedlfor (edited May 27, 2001).]
ok if you want to talk about "insulting," fine. who called who "troll" first? re-read this post, you'll see everything was going fine, then he called me troll. notice how i didnt cry about it. ------------------
