I stopped watching Inside the NBA this year, primarily because i was a little less interested in what the rest of the league was doing when we sucked so badly. But the last few times ive watched Kenny Smith looks like hes done, he barely addresses Barkley, has been significantly more quiet and even last night, when 2 of the rockets were already on there he mentioned, that if one more of them were rockets on shaqtin he was going to leave....
I noticed the same thing. He's been a lot more serious lately. My guess is that he's ramping things up for a coaching job, not that he's sick of the guys.
