LOL, Shaq is trying to expose all the superstar guards. On a more serious note, I love this trade. Shaq can really help them get to the Finals. Gives the Cavs someone else for the defense to worry about.
Anyone who thinks this doesn't put Cleveland in the drivers seat is crazy. I thought that team overacheived all year and now they get shaq. Let me tell you what else happens with getting a guy like shaq. I bet u will see a guy like rasheed take some of the mle and another wing will take the rest. Also, playing with lbj and shaq, u will see a vet sign for lle or minimum. Everyone loves shaq and who doesn't want to play with lebron. This will spark a dominoe effect and a load up for james and shaq. Bad news for the rest of the league.
As old as Shaq is the Cavs gave up nothing to get him. Steve Kerr is a pathetic GM, he should have tried to pick up a player like Varejo that could have at least helped them.
Hey, just remember: Marion nets you Shaq, who nets you Pavlocic. There's nothing wrong with this equation, right?!
Next move will be Boozer to Cavs. LBJ + Shaq + Boozer <- who can beat this front court? p.s. I wonder how long Shaq can stand Labron's chalk stuff and the fake photo taking gestures.
He's been a problem for the teams he has played for in recent seasons. I dont think this is a move the Cavs should have made.
The Suns would have saved 21 million this year had they not traded Shawn Marion. Good job Steve Kerr.
Evidently, Charley Rosen doesn't think this trade is "all that"...... Personally, I think you need your head examined if you think this is anything but a steal for Cleveland. Let's not forget that the downfall of the Cavs during the playoffs was 1) Their inability to match Dwight Howard's size/presence in the paint, and 2) Their inability to get any non-LeBron induced or created offense. Shaq satisfies both of those deficiencies. The direct correlation between having a dominant low post player and NBA Championship teams since Jordan's Bulls speaks for itself. Many of which, Shaq was a part of. Get ready to possibly add another in 2010 as the Cavs just won the 2010 Eastern Conference on June 25th, 2009.
I guess I'm in the minority here because while this is obviously an upgrade for them, I just see this as too little, too late. I have my doubts that he can sustain his level of play from last year at 38. This was a deal that needed to be made last year when Shaq was in rare form. They need to hit a homerun with their MLE because I don't see this as being enough.
You know he wants to be traded to Cleveland now. He never got to play with a guy like Shaq or Lebron and it is just unfair that he has to play with slugs but Lebron gets to play with Shaq and Shaq gets to play with Lebron Anyway Penny, Kobe, DWade, and now LeBron Does this make Shaq the ROBERT HORRY of Centers Rocket River
So does this mean that if the Cavs win the Championship then we're going to hear " Lebron tell me how my a$$ taste"?
Suns need to trade Steve Nash as soon as possible (to us maybe?) He deserves a ring. If it were not for the Sun's crap management or the NBA mishandling the playoff incident where Suns were raped after being thugged (by the Spurs).
