I was wondering the same thing earlier and I wouldve thought less likely but others said they'd be still at or on the verge of the LT. Then someone in the Amare photoshop thread said from a very very reliable source that its not happening, so take things for what theyre worth.
I think this is an excellent trade for the cavs. They are now a much better team with shaq. Having an inside presence is still a must in the nba. That being said- many things can go wrong here.
I don't know if he's faking, but Shaq is acting as if he's learning the news through Twitter right now.
They might win a championship next year if Shaq is motivated, although Shaqtis is old he still have his intimidation factor.
Ha, watch Shaq whine for an extension before training camp even begins, and watch Shaq hint that he'll play better once he gets it.
That's it? No prospect? No young player? What the hell? How the heck does that work? Tired of these cheap owners and just giving away talent. I think the Richard Jefferson trade is more scarier than this trade though....
It def makes the Cavs better. Shaq made the third team all-nba team this past season. The real question is how does this make the Suns better? Steve Kerr is a terrible GM.
What is going on with this league? All the contenders are getting even better... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
It is easy to forget at times that Shaq is going on 40 but this is still a GREAT move for the Cavs, and a much needed one if they want to be able to tell Lebron with a straight face, "Hey, man, we tried!" should they not advance to the Finals next season. If Shaq is healthy and can be anywhere near the player he was last season, the Cavs will be difficult to stop.
Ahh...they just got a player who averaged 18 ppg and is still a top 5 center. I agree, the Cavs probably need to make another move, before the training camp. A shooting guard and a power forward. Big Z and Sideshow Bob are probably on the trading block now.
