Shaq is right and he is consistent. If he had been asked about Wade, Shaq would have said that it was best for Wade to work with a center who played a team game and was willing to throw it out to him over and over and over again like Shaq does because guards develop quicker and a guard that drives the paint like Wade needs a lot of opportunities to get in there so the team can get higher percentage shots. Shaq should get credit for being one of the biggest reasons for the development and success of Wade.

considering how completely unprophetic that turned out to be, i'm not sure why you felt like posting it. well i know why, but it was still silly.

although i gotta agree with shaq here, the way francis is averaging by far a career low in shot attempts in really holding howard back. i hear francis is also making turkoglu, nelson, and stevenson also take the same amount or more shots than howard. that b*stard! of course not exactly a shock that most in the thread ate up what shaq said.

yeah i'm sure shaq's put in the long hours and effort to make wade's game better, not wade. just look at kobe, he's really fallen apart w/o shaq around.

We all know you aren't a big francis fan, so I'm sure everyone will find your analysis to be impartial and objective.

    No.
Wade was more than on his way without Shaq. Did you see the playoffs where Wade as a rookie was leading the Heat when it was suppose to be Odom, Eddie Jones and Caron Butler? I also notice that when the Heat were without Shaq this year that Wade was doing just fine.

And you must be right because the Magic would never get rid of a PG who fed the post so well. Nor would the Kings with a motion offense and Mobley's Bird Rights trade for a better passer in Bonzi Wells and let Mobley walk without an offer.

    Yao's FGA's/48 min over 4 seasons:
    16.2 (SF/CM)
    18.3
    19.1
    21.2

    Dwight Howard's FGA's/48:
    12.2
    13.7

    I see a trend.

and how'd that work out for the kings? or for the clippers who picked up mobley for that matter.

sf/cm were also there for the 2nd season. so man, up by 0.8 fga/48 min the next season. no way a difference that huge could be accounted for just by yao improving.

and francis is well behind dooling and nelson in fga/48 min on the magic and also behind turkoglu. if only he would stop hogging it.

Shaq is fat. If he worked out more maybe he wouldn't hold Dwayne Wade back from winning some rings.

Shaq Throw SF Under the Bus ?
Not quite. He merely pointed out that Steve was under the bus.

Who cares what Shaq has to say anymore? He's the second option in Miami that he should've been in LA.

Pure nonsense. You must not have seen Wade develop during his rookie year. You must have also missed the way he carried their team without Shaq last year during the season and especially in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Shaq makes it easier for his teammates to play, but he has nothing to do with Wade becoming a great player. Wade is great with or without Shaq. Same for Kobe. What Shaq can bring when paired up with an already great wing player is a championship. But he had zip to do with the heart and dedication of Wade going to the next level.

Perhaps he is right but Dwight Howard is not ready yet to dominate a game offesnively. He is extremely RAW. He has no utside shot and his moves around the basket are crap as of right now. He needs to learn some post moves and then develop a jumper. I have seen him throw trash towards the basket on multiple occassions. He is very athletic and has a very dominant physical presence though.

thank you, this is very true, dwight howard has about 2 offensive moves now. he is not ready to be a go to guy.

    yao ming's shots

    03-04 12.5 a game 32 min
    04-05 12.2 a game 30 min,

yeah, steve and cuttino really held the ball from yao.
