A lot of people have hated Shaq for a long time. I'm not one of them, but that story if true really pisses me off and really lowers my opinion of the guy.
Shaq tried to but the proposed opponent wouldn't acquiesce. Another case of idea plagiarism/show stealing involved Michael Irvin and his 4th and Long show. It seems Reality show ideas are really difficult to hold onto and protect from others who find out about the idea from you and get it made before you can.
Nash was really good in that. Shaq and Dwight try too hard. Throw enough **** and something will stick.
Wilt Chamberlain was suppose to fight Mo Ali at the Astrodome. Boy, that would have been a sight to see.
Shaq will fight Oscar de la Hoya: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/H-qFfN3IPvQ&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/H-qFfN3IPvQ&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Guys like Shaq and Barkley are funny by saying outrageous or dumb things. Nash actually has a pretty good sense of humor. It's sort of like Jim Carey kind of funny vs Billy Crystal kind of funny.
Shaq claims he didn't steal anything http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news;_y...m8vLYF?slug=ap-shaqvsphelps&prov=ap&type=lgns
And Steve Nash stole the idea from... Ochocinco, who mentionned a couple years back wanting to "defy all the greatest athletes in there own sport"...
