funny how shaq exploded when both nash and amare were out... maybe it's his way of telling steve nash "give me the ball!"

I know this question will come up at some point:

Who would rather have as franchise player Kobe (in his prime, 03 to now) vs. Shaq (in his prime, 95 to 02)?

For whatever else Kobe accomplishes in his career, I still take Shaq. Kobe is a great player and scorer, but he can't dominate the game in the way Shaq or any other big man can. I believe Shaq (in his prime) could make any team (below or near .500) in the league right now into an instant contender.

Imagine, if Shaq were on a team, like OKC, Charlotte, or LA Clippers, those teams would see 20 to 25 game turnaround. That's how great Shaq was.

I don't think there's any question about it....Shaq, clearly, any day of the week.

    41 is not 45.

That was a LOOOOOONG TIME AGO.

Shaq put up 45 at age 37 .

Yao will not be playing in the NBA at 32 mark my words.

shaq, no question about it. iirc, even kobe himself said so when he's asked to pick between a shaq and a michael from a draft.

Let's give Yao 10 more years, before saying he can't hit 45.

I can't belive how great Shaq has been this season. Unbelivable. He is still unstopable inside.

Shaq is amazing. Another 33 poitns game today on 13/18 shooting. Led the Suns to beat the Lakers without Amare or Nash.

Its almost like he still feels he has a lot to prove. He doesn't want his career to end on a dysfunctional team who can't even make the playoffs.

I wish defenders would all back away from our big softie as they do from Shaq when ever he has the ball down low. :(

After today's game and Shaq's leadership/performance, all I have to say is...Wow!

Shaq is the beastest motha iffer to ever walk the face of the earth. A true basketball god if there was ever one. I have NEVER seen an already legendary player play with so much determination and focus this late into his career (at 37...seriously?!). I don't know what ticked him off to get him to play this way as of late, but in all honesty Shaq has been playing like a young man all season long, and has undoubtedly been the best player on his own team.

I bow to thee, oh Big Aristotle!

When Nash gets back, he needs to be told one and only one thing: give Shaq the damn ball! Keep feeding the beast...

superstar centers carry their teams and make their teammates better. shaq used to carry the lakers when kobe's out. shaq's doing it again with the suns without amare and nash!

    Oh let me try this!

"I'll give him 5 years and he will do it."

Is this how it works? We just make statements like this?

No one can score 45points if they attempted 7FG per game like Yao do today! :D
The up and coming Rockets vs Suns game will be interesting. It will be statement game. Shaq out to prove he is still the best C in the West and Yao need to prove he is not softie!
