Yeah a team can win with Shaq.. everyone including me thought he was done when he went to Miami, proved us wrong.. look this is a topic about the teams future, and i honestly believe Shaq would be a good addition, along with championship experience, he brings some nastiness which left the team when ron artest left.
Ok I'll tell you what if Rockets win the finals next year I'll host a huge party I'll bring 50 btls of goose 50 btls of Jagermeister and only red Bull to mix with. (21&up only) I will call it the "RED AFFAIR" ppl that wear a red suite with a bowtie will get complimentary lap dances from TREASU%#S models. lol... Mamojama will get his own btls and a ticket to a private session with a model of his choice, Because I think he likes me. He's replying to all my post tonight.
im going to hold you to that, and put your post as my sig for a while as a reminder everytime you see my posts. if you cant hold up to your offer, i will expect at least one bottle of goose one bottle of jager and 12pack of red bull , fed exed to my door..
I'm partial to centers who can hit more than 50 percent of their free throws. That aside, Shaq could make an interesting addition to the team in terms of what he might potentially contribute on the floor AND with the Rockets' general visibility within the NBA as teamed with Yao. It could be a national and international PR dream if both stayed healthy for the bulk of the season and both made significant contributions to team success. The media would be forced to turn the spotlight in the Rockets direction more often than they typically do if Yao and Shaq were teamed. Maybe Yao could teach Shaq Zen and the Art of the Free Throw.
This team is built on drawing the foul. We cannot have a guy on our team who shoots 1/20 from the line squandering away opportunities... Then again, I would LOVE to have Shaq on this team, so I'm conflicted.
One consideration with Shaq is that he has been a key part of championship teams, which people often cite as one aspect to consider in a player. Who knows, he might like the idea of being teamed with Yao. Then again, it might go so much against his grain that he'd never consider it. And maybe the Rockets wouldn't even consider it either...but if they did and brought him in, I'd be good with it. Even though there are likely much better fits for this team, I'd still be intrigued by the pairing of Shag and Yao, if deemed feasible by the team.
pleasantly surprised 65% of you guys would prefer miller over shaq. here are last years numbers Shaq FG% 56.6 Pts 12.0 Reb. 6.7 Blk 1.2 all on 23.3 min per game Miller FG% 43.3 Pts 8.8 Reb. 4.9 Blk 0.4 all on 23.4 min per game we would only need shaq for about 20 min per. and is a better contributor , regardless of the system Rick runs.
How awesome would that be...Absoluuuutely I would love to have Shaq over Miller and I'm a big Brad Miller fan.
No doubt about it, Yao's minutes should be limited and it will take time for him to regain Elite Form on the court. I don't think you can go wrong with Miller. However, how do you turn down a Multi NBA Champion Shaq who can still Contribute and be Yao's Insurance and Mentor to give the Rockets that extra push when things get Tough... The dude Straight Up Wants to and Knows how to WIN... If Shaq does join the party then Rox will certainly need some sort of Free Throw shooting coach specifically for him and Hayes
