I think Everybody will be learning online within 20 years. I don't see where all the criticism of an online degree is coming from. If I were to take a guess, the brick and mortar degrees will be less valued than an online degree by 2020, and will become as archaic as dinosaurs and cowboys.

I am convinced that as a person, Shaq has a good heart, and is a caring individual.

But I can't stand his mouth and his basketball persona. I know I take it too seriously, but it bothers me when he says dumb, ignorant stuff. Like of some of that 'ching-chong' stuff when Yao was a rookie.

And before people bring it up, I'm not a fan of Sir Charles either, even if he was a Rocket.

Now that he has more education than me, I no longer begrudge him his salary.

That's a totally online degree from University of Phoenix, I don't see how you can check if he really did all the work-- Shaq probably had some gopher do all the school work for him then just showed up to pick up his diploma....

Even though I see U Phoenix ads in movie theatre previews, it's still an accredited institution. I've heard that the courses challening despite the fact that a portion of it is online. U Phoenix takes their accredation seriously, so I don't doubt Shaq had to think during his learning there.

He's probably going to follow Magic's footsteps and grow a half billion dollar empire.

People, people, people. You all should really slow down on the praise for Shaq. I am sure one day, online degrees will be issued by "credible" universities, but today is not that day. I know a number of people think this is a credible acedemic institution, but for all practical purposes, their degrees are worthless. And before I get bashed, I have evidence to prove it. A person I know, that really struggled as an undergrade and had to retake some classes to graduate with at least a 2.0 in accounting from U of H (Main Campus), enrolled in the University of Phoenix MBA program. Some how, with very little work, this person that barely escaped college with a degree, received an MBA from U of Phoenix, with above a 3.5 GPA. Now, I am no genius, but that just doesn't add up. To further prove this point, that person, with this new sense of acedemic confidence, has gone on to take the CPA exam countless time, and has yet to pass a single sections. Even the new computized exam, has yeilded the same dismal results. I know everyone is different, but how can you go from terrible to awesome and back to terrible unless something isn't on the level.

Nothing, but obtaining an MBA with a high GPA should indicate ability, not to mention you are required to take additional upper level accounting courses which should help.

I can't help but wonder if some of this is a marketing ploy by the "University" of Phoenix.

University of Phoenix. Alma mater of millionaires like Shaquille O'Neal who made millions in product endorsements and his own line of clothing. He learned how to do it all with his master's from the University of Phoenix.

Yeah, I can see the potential.
