Why would I say people needed to watch them if I myself had not seen them? artard............... Like someone already said, the game is much, much softer than ever. Euro maybe? Who knows, but back in the 70's and 80's this would have been just another hard foul.............
I did not get this word ... artard? Maybe you have that condition yourself? I asked the question because you talked as if you did not see the games, as if you simply repeated what people said. The games really had not gone that much softer. Sure they have soft players now but they also had them then. It goes both ways. They had hard fouls then and they have hard fouls now. They had tough physical players then and they have them now. More so even, players are getting bigger, stronger and more athletic. The difference was there used to be more fightings, more confrontations. The league cracked down on that recently. If you have watched the Pistons-Bulls, tell me who on the Bulls was a physical player?
Oh please shut up about the league being "harder" back in the ol' days. If you want to see players get slammed to the ground a la Horford on TJ Ford, please find a time machine and send your azz back to the past. I rather the league be so-called "soft" and let players be worried free of career ending injuries from some azzhole trying to be "hard". I don't see a dam thing wrong with the league protecting it's players. This isn't MMA, it's a game to score points, to outplay your opponent whether through skill or physical ability, not to give "hard" fouls for the sake of sending a "message". Only message I get from these hard fouls is that, "we can't defend you normally, so we will use illegal force to try to scare you".
